I've started making a Tau army from a battle force I bought years ago and my aim is to run 2 hammerheads and a skyray as well as 'fish for the firewarriors. I know the hammerhead kit comes with parts for a railgun and ion cannon and also the skyray missile boom. My question is, will I have enough bits if I buy 2 hammerhead kits and a devilfish kit to make the three, or will I be better off just buying 3 hammerheads (are there enough front turret options as I know the skyray is slightly different?

I plan to fully magnetize the turrets to opt using rail or ion. I know if I get the three kits I can run triple skyray or hammerheads, but I doubt I'd ever use three.

the skyray turret and the railhead turret are completely independent: with enough bodies, you can field 2 skyrays and 2 hammerheads/ion heads. Unfortunately, the only part that doesn't double are the missile pods on the front of the tank: you will have to rig something up if you want them to match

Or take gun drones instead which is legal and a good option, just don't glue anything down...trust me!

I think the only part you will be short is the lense that goes in place of a burst cannon, not exactly critical.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm sure i can find something in my bitz box to plug that gap and make it look like lenses.
