Hey all, i think we all dislike GW prices, long story short, are there any decent websites for Aussies/kiwies, or anyone for that matter, to get GW models much cheaper than their current price aside from ebay? I heard of maelstrom games, but they're currently out of order, cheers if anyone can help, i really want to stay in the hobby

If you don't mind pre-loved models, Look here in the swap shop for fellow aussies moving models, or try on Bartertown as well. You might get lucky that way...

They do, I've bought Russes from them before, they just might not have them listed on ebay. Discount Games Store is the best place to buy legit 40k for Aussies. They ship 20-30 orders here daily. Their prices are great, their service is great and they're a bunch of top blokes/gals. Email them ( docdiscountgames@gmail.com ) and they'll send you their price lists which is all the usual stuff - this is required because of idiotic GW rules. I've dropped a couple grand on them and they've been great. For example, you can buy the new space marine strikeforce from them for $177 - it's $350 RRP in Aus (incidentally that's $495 worth of models if bought individually here). *sheepish* I bought 3 *sheepish*

Far as I know Maelstrom games is fully dead in the water and in administration.
Otherwise if you can't find discount stores consider second hand. You can find a surprising amount of miniatures second hand that haven't been assembled or have only limited work done on them (gamers buy up stuff and then never get around to building it all the time).
You might have to wait a bit to get some options, but you can find quite a bit.
Also look up guides on paint stripping; stripping metal is pretty easy and simple and the results are pretty good (you'll get a few specks of paint lodged in some parts of the model, but for the most part you shouldn't have too much trouble; just give hte models a good long soak).
Plastic is a little different but does strip down well - resins you can't strop down (they melt) as does finecast.
Also ask around locally, sometimes people sell off whole armies in a block (armies tend to go for less than they would if sold individually).
It's really a game of patience - if you can wait you can often get the price you want. Also check completed listings on ebay ;that gives you an idea of how often some items appear and what price they tend to go for.
Note with finecast out there metals tend to go for a bit higher than they otherwise would sell for because they are out of production. Some older sculpts can go for more (Metal Daemonetts are a good example) because they are not only out of production but considered to be superior sculpts over the current market options (by the majority but not all of course)

Ebay.
I was going to recomend Total Wargamer but it seems that the new GW rules on trading are really hurting them.

Yes they are. Not that it would matter, as there is currently a 'Rest of World' ban on GW miniatures being sold outside of the EU.
Wayland games (who used to be the other go-to option for Antipodeans) said that they were investigating the legality of GW's change of terms, but that was some time ago and we've heard nothing since. Obviously the trade terms were water tight.
Your could either do as Azazelx has said and trawl ebay, or find alternative miniatures to use that aren't GW.

From what i heard, it just ended up being decided that it was a licensing law, same as Apple etc give their retailers, so they can legally determine the geographical areas that the license applies to.

Their appalling customer service is hurting them, other stores are managing fine.
