Welcome and good luck!
Some details would be good, though... list of colours, volume, retail pricing?
And pics of the bottles, so people know what to look out for...

I had a chance to sample these awhile ago and was impressed with the quality of the paints.
They had nice consistency and very good coverage, even the yellow and orange were easy to work with.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis |

The bottles look like this (BRIGHT ORANGE COB006 in example below):
I found some of the colous here:
http://www.waughgames.co.uk/colours-of-battle-miniature-paint-range-256-c.asp
From that site they are priced at £1.75 (RRP £1.95)
Description: COLOURS OF BATTLE are a new uk based company, committed to bringing a high quality product to the hobby.
Our paints have a very high pigment ratio, giving you the quality of paint you require. Suitable for use with plastic, resin & metal minatures.
Supplied in 18ml flip-top pots

EDIT: After some looking about I found the following: "These paints are Formulated & Manufactured for COLOURS OF BATTLE by HMG Paints LTD"
EDIT2: After some more searching it appears that HMG Paints LTD also make Coat d'arms and P3 among others.

Thanks - when I saw the pic I immediately thought HMG.
For those who may be interested, HMG manufactured the original Citadel Paints, right up until they changed to the first (screw-top) "bolter" bottles. They also manufacture P3 Paints, their own brand "Coat D'Arms" which includes a lot of historical shades as well as analogues for the original Citadel colours, and also Wargames Foundry Paints (so I understand).

Yeah me too.
& at £1.95 a pot (which contains more than the standard GW ones) that's one hell of a saving.
Great that they will go through airbrushes too.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!! |

Yeah, those pots are so many times better than anything that GW have used since...
Looks like a good starter range so far. Will be interesting to see what else they come up with.

Same here, I much prefer the dropper style, I use a gravity fed airbrush alot and it makes things FAR easier.

I have to open most of my P3 with my teeth because the tab breaks off after a few months.

This reminds me, one of my enduring childhood memories of time spent hobbying is the sweet sweet taste of the original range of Citadel Paints. I can't say I've ever needed to use my teeth. The tip of a finger under the rim generally does the job for me.
