Been getting rid of bits and as I shuffle through them, I always find stuff to make Aspiring Sorcerers with. Here's one I did real fast last night while watching part of Aliens.
I guess my "style" is Speed Painting? I like to really crank out minis at the cyclic rate and just let the 'ard coat do my highlighting.

It's quite nice. The sword fits very well. Really the only thing bothering my ocd is the backpack; it's too... blue.

Like he said, the blue is very flat and could use some detail work and highlighting.

Hmmm I'm thinking fleshy parts for those claws and H.R. Giger horns on the pack.

I like the conversion, good job. For speed painting it looks ok, although I'd put some more metal on the backpack.

Looks spiffy but something is off... I'd have put the scrolls on the front with dangly bits. under them, or another scroll hanging open under the cluster. Simply put, the ornamentation is top-heavy, and then it seems really bare on the bottom. Option might also be to add detail to the robe.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from. |
