Subject: Space Engineers - Physics based sandbox in SPAAAAACE
I just discovered this game yesterday. It is currently in Early Access on Steam for $14.99
This game has the potential to be the 'next big thing'. I believe it's intended end state is a multiplayer game. However, I do wish there was some type of survival mode vs NPCs planned.

There is a survival type mode planned IIRC.

Actually this looks rather good. I always though the mechanic I missed most in minecraft was the ability to build a vessel to bring your stuff with you. (But then again I am a packrat)

I am currently working on a very ambitious project. Bigger than anything I have done in Minecraft for sure.
I am currently attempting to build a somewhat decent rendition of a Minmatar 'Nidhoggur' carrier ship from EVE online. It's going to take me a while as this thing is massive LOL.
Here's a video

The new max speed of 104 m/s seems incredibly fast compared to what we had earlier. Also, the ability to turn off the inertia dampeners in ships makes for some great 'oh gak' moments when you realize the little skiff you hopped out of is now speeding away into the darkness of space.
On a more practical note, the symmetry feature is incredibly useful for building spaceships faster.
Although this is still very true:

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

So a Multiplayer patch came out for it about ten days ago so I bought it. I hope it's any fun.
