Sadly, we need to postpone the Game Swap from Dec. 8th to Dec. 29th. We have a couple of problems, the first being the weather. We got a lot of calls from people asking if we were postponing because of the storm. Bad weather in the morning would mean less people traveling, bad weather in the afternoon means people wouldn't want to be driving home in it.

We tried to get a weather update....and that was when Comcast decided we didn't need Phones, Internet, or a machine to process credit and debit cards. So while they think they might get the fibre cables that went bad somewhere fixed, it might be today, and it might be tomorrow.

Bad weather means no people, bad internet means no way to pay for stuff. I really hate postponing an event, but it's not fair to the people that put games and figures into the event if we have a horrible Game Swap and their stuff either sells for a dollar due to lack of people, or a limit of only paying in cash for items. Just not fair to take the chance.

We'll postpone the Game Swap until Jan. 29th, the Sunday between Christmas and New Years. So save up a little of your holiday money. And if you are one of the procrastinators that didn't get your old games down to the store to be listed, you get another chance.





We will be holding our next Game Swap on Dec. 8th. This will be held at our store in the Granite Run Mall, in Media PA. (Philly suburbs).
It's been a while since we held one, making this one a bit bigger than normal. I'm expecting that when the dust settles and it's all cataloged
we'll have more than 600 lots. Lots range from tanks, units, bags of bits, up to full armies. These will all go up for sale with 1$ minimum bid.
You can take a look at the items from 11am until noon, and then we start the event. It generally takes about 4-5 hours to get through it all.

It's a great chance to pick up bitz, rare figures, old metal models, and quite a few new kits still in the box, at far below normal GW retail prices.

This is a live event. Everything sells, even if its for just a dollar. You must be present to bid. (Or send a buddy.)

Yes, drop them off Thursday or Friday. I just updated the list to 437 lots. I'll be catalogging for the next two days then closing it all off and setting up Satuday. The event kicks off sunday at 11am.

Hm, Google says 2 hours to get to you, so that's probably out. Too bad, couple items on there (especially the Escher gangers) that I'd love to nab.

We've had people travel 4-5 hours by car, and a couple of stalwart adventurers took the train down from somewhere in NY (8 hours?) and get a lift from the station to the store, and packed down 4000 count boxes of MTG cards to do some trading .

I thought it looked great when i got there, and i'm happy you got some good prices for most of the stuff, but THAT GUY up front who bought nearly everything sucked the fun out of it for me. I talked with several other bidders who felt the same way.

There's still lots of great deals you can get even with Mark (that guy) bidding on most things. As frustrating as it can be, it does end up being better for the store and the sellers than if he wasn't there.

Yeah, I think he is a professional ebayer, so I can't fault him for doing his job. I've talked to him a hand-full of times at the game swaps and he is a nice guy, so that takes the edge off him bidding on so many things.
