when I used to play necromunda, I differed from the other locals in terms of arming and running my juves. I would pair a juve up with one of the more experienced gangers to kinda serve as a body shield and They were also armed only with knives. they had to earn their gujns through staying alive and killing.

I would not say, it made my gang any more effective of course, but the other locals always made the jokes of how they woulda never wanted to join my gang and how they pitied the poor kids.

Anyone else ever do these sorts of chacterful things with their gangs?

I usually sacrifice a few henchmen. They are kind of the same as juves in a way. I'll send a pair of them out more into the open to draw the fire away from my bigger guys, they can sneak around back and get the bad guys
