In an effort to get myself into gear, I've decided to start a P&M thread on all the various projects I'd like to get done before my favorite convention in New England, TempleCon. Considering I purchased my first Infinity models there last year (have have done naught with them beyond assembly), I think it's high time I buckled down and get some stuff done!

UPDATE: TempleCon was fantastic! But now is not the time to rest, it is the time to continue momentum! The blog will live on!

UPDATE (02/14/15): Wow, I've had this blog for over a year now, fantastic! I've updated a few model lists/status colors. The snow storms are cutting into my painting time (seems to be reverse of the standard, eh?), but I should hopefully find some time to dig back in shortly!

Here are the armies I have started and will therefore be updating as work continues:
Haqqislam (from Infinity)
Capitol (Warzone: Resurrection)
Convergence of Cyriss (Warmachine)
Cryx (Warmachine)
Kitbashing/modding characters for IKRPG

Should time permit, I'd also like to get around to a few other minor projects that have been on the docket for some time:
Thornfall Alliance (Hordes)
Ancients of Atlan (Deep Wars)

For each major battlegroup, I have the following models that are in the current states- assembled / painted / finished :

Haqqislam
Ghulams (x3)
Djanbazan (Rifle and Sniper)
Janissary
Al-Djabel
Muyibs (x4)
Naffatun
Halqa (x2)
Hunzakut
Hafza (x3)
Odalisque
Al-Hawwa
Djanbazan

JUST ADDED:
Kaplan Tactical Services x4

Capitol
Infantry (x10)
Purple Sharks (x2)
Bob Watts

Convergence of Cyriss
Forge Master Syntherion
Magnetized Heavy Kit (x2)
Diffuser
Mitigator
Galvanizer
Prime Axiom
Attument Servitors (x3)
Steelsoul Keg Protector
Obstructors (x10)
Reductors (x10)
Optifex Directive (x3)
Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex
Corollary
Transverse Enumerator
Reflex Servitor (x3)
Axis, the Harmonic Enforcer
Accretion Servitor (x3)
Elimination Servitor (x3)
Clockwork Angels (x6)
Iron Mother
Enigma Foundry
Exponent Servitors (x2)

Khador
Winterguard Infantry (x6)
Assault Kommando WA

Cryx
Sturgis the Corrupted
Iron Lich Overseer
Black Banes Ghost Raiders (x20)
Kraken
Aiakos
Asphyxious the Hellbringer
Vociferon

Whew. Long list. Pictures to follow!

For my CoC, I decided to do a Corvis themed army. As Vinter Raelthrone banned all Cyriss worship early in his reign, they were forced to go underground. As such, the composition of their vectors and metals they used had to reflect what was nearby and available, mostly bonze and brass in the swampy, ancient city of ghosts. As such, the basing is aslo going to be more bat up looking bricks with a lot of broken ground. This was achieved with covering the majority of the model in Brass Scorpion (Citadel), which seperates decidedly quickly, and highlighting key parts such as gears and vents, in Blighted Gold (P3). This was followed by a helping of Agrax Earthshade (Citadel). The bases were mostly composed of foam core board scored with a dull pencil, a layer of Bane Thrall Base (P3) for the stone bricks or Bootstrap Leather (P3) for broken earth/rocks. Then the bricks were dry brushed with Dheneb Stone (Citadel) and the broken earth were dry brushed with Bloodtrack Brown (P3) Example:

I also wanted the city of ghosts theme to transfer to the glowing power nodes on the vectors, giving them an eery swamp gas glow. This was done with Necrotite Green and a Menoth White Highlight (both P3), with a watered down layer of Necrotite Green over it (not my recipe, a tip I learned on the PP forums). Pictures really wash out how well the glow came out. I also added sewer plates, grates, and odd bronzed metallic pieces to the bases to tie my Corvis detachment of CoC together.

All together, the Diffuser, Mitigator, and Galavanizer came out great! A bit of touch up to do on one of the bases (damn super glue drying white), and then Syntherion gets painted. I'm working on a sort of Altar for him to stand but, perhaps with a beat up Cygnus on it.

Thanks for looking!

Hello fellow Massachusetts resident, and thank you for reminding me that TempleCon is imminent!

I have found the brass/gold paints by GW to be really thick and shiny. I've found highlighting with Balthazar Gold makes it look better. Follow it up with a blue wash, GW have these new Technical Effects paints that look pretty good though I have no first hand experience with them. I normally use Hawk Turquoise to give it some verdigris. Also, hit those models with some Matte Varnish, that will help.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks Dez! I've been considering doing some weathering, but hadn't been sure how to approach it.

The glossy-ness is due to the fact that I clear coat in high gloss. I like the look better than a Matte finish (much to the bemoanment of my local players). Though I've been looking for a brush on Matte to start using after I clear coat in gloss.

Okay, so just to switch it up, I've assembled some of my Warzone stuff.

The Purple Shark was a little difficult to get to fit together without gaps, so it will definitely be getting some green stuff in the future. Also, getting the handle bars/arm/driver to line up was a bit tricky.

Bob Watts was easier, but I had trouble getting the feeds for his chainguns to go from his backpack to the guns. The contact points on the guns were very fragile and broke on me, but the end result is still a fantastic sculpt!

The grunts offer a ton of options, but I chose a basic arm combination just to get the ball rolling. The detail on these miniatures is truly astounding.

I also started on Syntherions base, making the pedestal with a small set of stairs leading to the top (not that he cares, he floats!) as well as working on the bricks and cygnus.

I think I'll do the cygnus in a Moldy Ochre (P3) to give it a faded look, then weather it further from there.

Love the Berkshire Brewing Company background, Steel Rail is one of the best beers out there imo.

Nice stuff from Warzone, I was tempted but let that one pass me by.

Alright, the holdiays have passed and now I have more painting to do!

The Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex has been added to the list as well as the Optifex Directive unit!

I should hopefully finish Syntherion's base this weekend (just needs some flock) and get at least a base coat on him!

So I've been less than inspired with my Convergence (light vector burnout), so I decided to work on some Infinity! The huge snow storm also had a hand in me having some free time.

First we have the male Ghulam from the starter box. I went with a standard-ish scheme using Rucksack Tan (P3) as the base color.

The boots and the shoulders were done in Ordic Olive (P3). Cold Steel (P3) was used for the metals, and Blazing Orange (GW) was used for key highlights. Bloodtracker Brown (P3) was used on the backpacks and straps. They all received a wash of Agrax Earthshade (GW) and Flesh Wash from (P3)

The Plisken Ghulam was done in a similar scheme (though he is a bitch to paint assembled).

A better picture of the model.

Then we have the Female Halqa model, substituting Dheneb Stone (GW) for Ordic Olive.

They all need to be sealed, based, and marked, but it's a good start. Male Halqa will be next followed by the last Ghulam. Only a month left!

Alright, another update!

First we have the Male Halqa, done in the same scheme as the previous:

Followed by the sniping Djabazan (one of my favorite models). I decided to change up how I was doing the rifles, so I started using Cryx Bane Base followed by a dry brush of cold steel to get the desired effect.

The standard rifle Djabazan shows how the rifles were done previously.

And Finally a Jannisary done in a orange/yellow Iron Man sort of look. I figured as they are heavy religous infantry without a cube, they would be more likely to try and draw the fire from opponents in order to protect their less armored counterparts.

The character Al-Djabel is next, followed by that last Ghulam (maybe, I may have to strip her and start over as the priming went awry). Then I'm torn between starting my Warzone stuff, or just hunkering down and finishing my Infinity stuff while I'm on that kick. Only time will tell!

Also, if anyone has experience with Infinity Haqq lists, and would be willing to help me build one, I'd be glad to have the help.

Happy painting.

Time is slipping by very quickly! As such, a few quickly painted models!

We start with a model that was killed by speckled primer (ugh), and would've normally been redone. With time getting short however, she will remain as is for the time being.

The back looks much better in my opinion (no speckled primer):

Then we have Al-Djabel, one of my favorite models of all time, infinity or not:

Next come three Muyibs, starting with the first Rocket Launcher Muyib, who I tried with Dheneb Stone. I didn't really like the final outcome.

I decided to swap the Dheneb and Cryx Bane Base on the Heavy Rocket Muyib, with much better results:

Finally we have the Spitfire female Muyib, who came out rather well, though I'm not in love with the way the Rucksack tan looks on her arm bracers.

Only three more Infinity models left to paint, then clear coating and basing left to do!

Alright, big update tonight!

The final Muyib is complete, using the secondary theme I had chosen.

The Naffatun was actually much more fun to paint than I had anticipated, and I stuck with the purple/pinkish hair from the female muyib.

Finally the Hunzakut was completed, though I can't seem to get his facial hair to look the way I want it to. He'll suffice for now.

Now I've also fixed the bases (painted the soil brown and the edges black, as well as mark the edges) so at that is left is a gloss coat, a matte coat, and some basing and they will be ready for TempleCon!!

Now that opened me up to finally get to putting together a battle group for my Convergence. Syntherion first! The camera unfortunately washes out any of the Blighted Gold highlights. I'm still debating given him the bronze corrosion treatment using GW's Nithalk (Sp?) Oxide.

Update incoming:

So I have begun assembling the Prime Axiom, but it will be much easier to paint with it in pieces. I've assembled it as far as possible.

I also managed to get the Heavy bases finished real quick. Since he Heavies are so squat I limited the details.

Here is the first coat of Brass Scorpion on the first heavy.

And finally, I applied some of the Nihilakh Oxide to Syntherion, using the method used on the videos described. It is surprisingly difficult to use on models with very fine details. Not super happy with how it came out.

Now time for a non-minature update!

I have been meaning to make a shirt to make myself easily recognizable during TempleCon for years, but usually remember to do it when there isn't enough time.

This year, I broke that cycle! Behold, my identification shirt:

That's the back. The front has the Wreath and 2014 on my left (your right). So if you happen to seem me, fellow Dakkanauts, feel free to say hello!

Eight days til TempleCon, I've decied that my Capitol will not be getting any paint or even fully assembled. I've just had to focus too much on my core projects. But some good news, my first completed Infinity shot (which is blurry but I was running late for work) is here! But it comes with a caveat: I purchased the Qapu Khalqi box! I still have some basing to do but haven't found a scheme I was in love with yet.

I think this will be as far as my Haqq will get before I head out in terms of paint. I may assemble the Qapu box just to have more options for introductory games.

Now on to Convergence! I've got a completed battlebox (+1 magnetized heavy vector) done.
Starting with the Cipher

The Inverter

The Monitor

Finished Syntherion

And a closer shot of the rear of his base

And everything completed so far!

I am hoping toget the Prime Axiom as well as some servitors and neccessary solos done in time for some added variety. Will I make it? STAY TUNED!

Big Massive Update today! As in Collosal! Prime Axiom Paint is done! He needs a clear coat and I've got to get his base done, but for all intents and purposes, he will be coming with my to TempleCon!

Photo Dump (Some shots with more/less exposure to capture the color).

Alright, Four days of painting time (with three twelve hour shifts thrown in for extra pressure!) means some Servitors and The Steelsoul Keg Protector if I can get the time.

Wish me luck!

Thanks Salvage, I'm sure I'll need it!

I haven't played any Infinity (yet!) and a few folks from my old FLGS have agreed to teach (read:murder) me so I can finally get my feet wet. I've put together a list at 300 points, though being totally new, I have no idea how well it will do.

Combat Group #1
Ghulam- LT
Ghulam- Doctor
Ghulam- Rifle
Djabazan- Rifle
Djabazan- Sniper
Janissary- HMG
Al-Djabel
Muyib- HRL
Muyib- Spitfire
Halqa- Rifle

Comabt Group 2
Halqa- Rifle
Naffatun- Light Flame Thrower

299/300 points
5/6 Special Weapons

Non Picture update time.

The bases for the Attunement Servitors, the Optifex Directive, the Steelsoul Keg Protector, the Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex, and the Prime Axiom have been painted. They just need to be marked, cleaned up, and flocked. Everything BUT the Axiom needs to be painted as well, so I'm debating a marathon painting session to get it all done.

And just to make myself seem a little more insane, I think I need to pick up another Servitor blister (maybe reflex) to take advantage of the Prime Axiom's innate ability to create servitors every turn.

48 hours folks, and they are going to be a doozy!

I really love the Prime Axiom! And the Infinity models look good also, very "military".

Will we get to see a complete army shot for both projects before you pack it up for TempleCon... tomorrow!?

Best of luck at the event!

As my radio silence clearly indicated, I did not get my army photographed before I went! I was up until midnight finishing models Wendesday night!

I just woke up from my twelve hour post Temple-Con Coma, but I shall attempt to photograph my finished models today and recap all the wonderful madness that was TempleCon!

Stay tuned, dear listeners!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Alright, so part 1 of my pre-TempleCon finished pieces.

We'll start with the Axiom, who performed admirably in a lot of games (when not getting removed from play by Scytheans). I'd like to add some details, maybe broken crates and spilled contents, to the base, but for now he will play as is.

Next we have the Optifex Directive. The addition of Meredius Blue to the cloth was a choice by the Mrs., and I think it came out amazing. We'll start with the leader.

A grunt

And the full unit

They had some good moments, granting pathfinder and doing a few repairs, but I think the arc node solo, Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex, may be a better pairing at lower points. Speaking of which, here he is! He didn't receive any play, but I saw him in action on a few of the tables.

Another model that didn't see any play time was the Steelsoul Keg Protector. People seem to love the model so I left it on my tray so people could have a look!

Last but certainly not least, the Attunement Servitors! These guys granting their -2 defense on a 4"AOE were unreal! I would highly recommend them, but I also would recommend some variety. Since the Axiom can create them, having a perforator servitor or a reflex with it's defensive capabilities would've been helpful in a few situations. I never really found myself looking for accretion servitors with Syntherion and the Directive getting so much repairing done.

I'll get a full army shot together when I have a good back drop (terrain and some better lighting). I'll also get a recount of my Infinity, Warzone, and Warmachine games when I get some time tomorrow.

Thanks for keeping with me. This blog will now be my primary, with updates to continue!

Now to begin the post-TempleCon construction, we have some more Convergence models! I'll hopefully get to writing up my games from TempleCon later this week. But first, let's start with the TempleCon swag kit (which was payed for ahead of time)

I love the patch. It's already on my BattleFoam bag. The dice and coin will likely linger in a drawer until I get a proper office/man space to create a few display hangers (along with my kickstarter faction coins).

On to models! I've decided to do Axis, the Harmonic Enforcer. He is a very cool looking model, took a bit of work to attach the tiny generators on his back (do this before you attach arms!) and to get the power lines to line up properly. Hopefully the hammerheads stay on without being pinned.

For his base, I was inspired by something I read in a No Quarter (#52, I believe). Corvis, in which my army is based, executes murderers by drowning. As such, I've created a sort of 'holding tank', if you will. I'm think I may throw a skeleton or two chained to the bottom and then fill it with two part epoxy as my water effect.

Next we have the Reflex Servitor, which after priming, is clear needs more clean up. I've got three of these little guys, hopefully to give me some defensive abilites with the Prime Axiom.

Then we have the Transverse Enumerator, a TempleCon pre-release I picked up. He's a unit attachment with a re-roll minifeat and a cool spray. While my units aren't ready, I figured I could get him painted up while I'm on this kick.

And finally, my key TempleCon pre-release pick up, the Corollary! This guy adds 2" to control area, has a focus saving battery, and gains a focus when starting within 3" of a caster. And he's a Vector! Love this model, very little mold issues, gorgeous sculpt!

So in this break from modeling (jury duty can be a real drag), I'll try and recall the games I got to play while in Warwick, RI.

WARZONE
For our game we were still feeling our way through the rules. We were figuring out armor saves and turn and burn abilities, with Bauhaus light infantry shredding some Legionnaires and a Necro Mutant. Unfortunately, Max Steiner got blindsided by Alahki (sp?) who is an absolute MONSTER in melee! He got +2 Strength and +2 to his Close Combat Skill with every successful hit, meaning after he chewed through poor, poor Mr. Steiner, he proceeded to one hit all the light infantry with his overtake ability.

Moral of the story- Don't let demons get near you! Also, give this game a shot! I would play a lot more terrain heavy than we did, but it really is a lot of fun.

Infinity
My first game (ever!) was against an ALEPH force with some bots and a few troops. We used basic rules without combat drop, infiltration, or any type of camo. My HMG Janissary and a Spitfire Muyib cleaned up the whole board! I love this game!

Little did I know how much effect camo would have on my poor Ghulams, for in the second game I was slaughtered wholesale. I was unable to hit most Camo'd troops (who stayed very close to cover, getting a -6 modifier), and whatever three wound (I think) spitfire-wielding monster my opponent had (Asura maybe? Cybenetic looking lady who was mean as hell) wouldn't go down. I tried using Al-Djabel with Basic Impersonation to cut the heart out of her force, but I failed my WIP roll That's a lot of points getting ARO'd to death turn one.

My third game had me against who I believe was PanO (Wildcats and Hellcats? Or is that Nomads?). Regardless, I had my troops set up well enough to take a combat dropping Hellcat (go Janissary go!), only to get flame throwered the next turn when he dropped another troop in (some type of medic). Have to remember to protect the rear at all times! Al Djabel didn't impersonate close enough to need the WIP roll, but I didn't use him to the best of my advantage. Kip from BattleFoam insturcted me to use him as a scalpel and eliminate as many orders as I can early on. A lesson that won't be forgotten!

All in all, I really do love this game. Going to have to get a lot more games in soon!

WARMACHINE
Oh, where to begin? I think the end is the most fitting place. I ended up getting Ragman out of a mystery Chinese Food box (A TempleCon original!) along with a Warmachine 10 year anniversary beer coozy. Solid haul if I do say so myself!

In terms of games, the first two days I played strictly Convergence. My list as was follows:
Syntherion- Tier 1 @ 35 points
-Prime Axiom
-Monitor
-Cypher
-Diffuser
Optifex Directive

I'm trying to recall the games, I may get some facts wrong, but this is the gist of it:

Game 1: Beachfront Attack Scenario Board
35 Syntherion Vs. 25 pDoomshaper and 25 Absylonia

They have to kill my caster or destroy the water tower at the back of my deployment zone (I'm on a cliff with entry on both sides of the board). I have to kill one of their Warlocks (a little variation on the table rules, since it's usually the attacker with 50 points, one caster. An extra caster is truly a force multiplier!)

The devolved into my trying to shoot shredders and Angelius with the Axiom and Mitigator whil the trolls slowly trudged up the hill on the other side through Cypher tough terrain templates. Eventually a Scythean with takedown (I believe that is his animus) took out the Prime Axiom despite Reconstruct being upkept on him! My last hope was the Mitigator, who shot a boosted elipsaw at a fury-less Absylonia. With Hotshot upkept (boosted damage roll) and critical brutal, there was a chance I could get her.

A rolled to hit, got the critical! Dice come up 6,6,6,5! One shotted Absylonia for the win! A great game I thought I had lost, as Mulg was ready to shred the Water Tower next turn!

Game 2: Regular Table
35 Syntherion V. 35 Gorten

A Prime Axiom versus an Earthbreaker. Yeesh. I tried to keep shooting rough terrain to slow the little units of Dwarves, but they couldn't be slowed. An assassination try with Syntherion's gun and Prime Axiom Accelerspiker found Gorten to have to much armor. Sytherion dies to a Torpedo to the face.

Game 3: Regular Table with Ammo Dump Scenario
25 Syntherion V. 35 Jarl (trolls)

Not much to say, charging Fennblades and some Magic Bullets put the hurt on my light vector. Clouds from the feat preventing ranged attacks and my slow, ponderous jacks led to a scenario loss.

Game 4: Dock Defender Table
35 Syntherion V. 35 Reznik Tier

I had to defend some crates that had either Tea or Explosives in them, they never really came into play. Instead, I learned how well the Acceler spiker works against infantry, and how many warjacks Menoth can hurl at a Collossal to put it down. Reznik survives with a few botched damage rolls, and Syntherion eats a Reckoner (I think).

Game 5: Regular Table
35 Syntherion V. 35 Syntherion!

A mirror match! I had a Prime Axiom, he had three heavy vectors, but very similar lists! He had excellent use of his Servitors, which got sniped by the Mitigator. He eventually destroyed the Axiom with charging heavy vectors after I was tagged by his Mitigator, but due to reconstruct and some bad damage rolls, he came back!. The opponent's Syntherion was just inside the Accelerspiker's 13" threat range, so Axiom eventrually received three focus an hot shot, bringing Sytherion down! Evil twin defeated!

To be continued!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
On Saturday, I switched to a 50 point Rask (Blindwater) list. My convergence was fun, but I only had thirty five painted. My next opponent wanted to play 50, so out come the gators.
Rask
-Swamp Horror
-Blackhide Wraster
-Boneswarm
Full Gatorman Posse
Full Gatorman Posse
Gatorman Witchdoctor
Full Bog Trog Ambushers
Totem Hunter
Croak Hunter

Game 6: 3 Bridge River Crossing Scenario Table
50 Rask V. 50 Ossyan

Pretty much the worse scenario possible to play gators. A river through the middle of the city table, with three bridges to cross. You get a point for every heavy on the opponents side of the bridge, two points for a caster. First to five. The gator posses either crossed the far left bridge charging halberdiers, or ran into the river to be out of line of side of the rifleman. The Second Posse crossed the river on the right side, with the croak hunter sneaking up the far right board edge in deep water. An ambushing unit of Bog Trogs took out Aiyana and tyed up some of his calvalry, leaving Ossyan alone with what I believe was Discordia. He made a big move, trying to snipe Rask with a boosted shot, and fails. A swamp horror and the totem hunter ended Ossyan's life. Great opponent with a lot of fun conversation. I felt bad bringing gators on that table, but he seemed to enjoy it and almost got a win out of it.

Game 7: Beachfront Attack Scenario Board (again)
50 Rask V. 35 3Lich

I got to play a game against a member of my former FLGS, Blake Hooper, who is a serious pro with his Cryx. I played attacker on the first board I played, hoping to get a posse and totem hunter up the hill to take out that water tower! Instead, I took quite a few Kraken shots into a Tough and undead Gator Posse, mechanithralls jammed up ambushing bog trogs, and I learned first had how good Bane Riders are. A great game that came down to Rask being too slow to run away from a Kraken.

Game 8: Temple Power Node Scenario table
15 Rask V. 15 pSorcha

A guy looking for a quick game to get a Gator opponent and complete his faction run through. Needless to say, Paralyze bolt and charging posse means no more Sorcha.

Final Thoughts
Loved Iron Arena, didn't miss the tournaments at all. I would highly recommend it to anyone even slightly interested in the game! Infinity was a blast, and now I want MORE! If you enjoy Infinty, but wish it was a little more 40k, I would highly recommend Warzone: Ressurection. The background and the D20 roll under system with damage armore modifiers will have you feeling right at home.

Hopefully my next update will have some painting done!

Alright, the table is in progress (quite a bit further than the only picture I have) and I should have it basically wrapped up be Mid-March (except the playing surface, I'll be taking my time designing a Corvis Swamp/City board).

Also, we have some paint on Axis. I have to say, I'm REALLY not enjoying painting him so far. Lots of little details that don't add much in my opinion, but I think he'll look great when finished.

To give myself some more ideas for the Corvis-themed Convergence, I decided to go straight to the original source: The Witchfire Trilogy! I've been eyeballing a copy for a long time now, but finally decided to pick one up.

Table Progress! I've got the woodworking portion of the table pretty much finished. Now I just have to stain it and attach some hinges. Then the play surface (naturally), but I want to wait until I get further into the Witchfire for inspiration.

Finally, I got a Gloss coat on Axis. He still needs a flat coat and I need to finish the water effects on his base, but the paint portion is done!

Quick update, the Corollary is now finished! Really happy with the glow effects on this one, so many coils to paint!

In the purchases category, I've added another unit of Angels and some Elimination Servitors! I've also picked up a battered old Menoth jack that will be converted into a piece of terrain for the League of Extraordinary Riveters terrain competition #9! More details to come!

Solid bit of progress today!

First finished was a unit of three Relex Servitors (basically flying proximity mines). They all look essentially the same, so just one photo here.

Next, I finally picked up some two part epoxy to do the water effects on Axis's base. I usually add a color tint to my swamp bases for Blindwater, but since I was putting some skulls in the 'drowning tank', I figured I would leave it clear in this instance. It ran out in small places, making it look like the tank was leaking, which really gives the base a cool effect!

And the final product with Axis attached.

BACK FROM THE DEEEAAAADDDD!!

It's been a long while since I updated this (nearly three months!) but I haven't been silent, just distracted by a league, X-Wing, and various alcohols and the inevitable adventures that follow them.

I still haven't painted the Transverse Enumerator (whoops), but to be honest, I'm dreading the fine details on him, so for now, he shall remain primed (I also need units to attach him to!) I decided instead to make a huge batch of small bases in my manner to complete both my Obstructors and Reductors, as well as the oodles of Servitors I've purchased (Elimination and Accretion). I also won the Iron Mother as a door prize at a recent Steamroller, so her Exponent servitors got lumped in with the others.

All the Servitors are painted and based (but not flocked). I'm now currently assembling the Obstructors (mold lines galore)!

On the table front, I've got the cobble stones on one half of the foam completed (mind blowing how time consuming that is), as well as got a coat of stain on one side of the wooden frame.

Pictures to come, stay tuned!

Alright, time for some WIP shots! All of the servitors need a bit of flock, but other than that, they're finished!

First, Elimination

Accretion

And Exponent (Iron Mother's little minions), one with flash, one without

I've just finished assembling the Obstructors and I have to say, for being such a PIA in terms of flash removal, I rather love the poses and models and think they have a ton of character.

Everything is a bit chaotic right now, so what gets done next, no one knows! I think I may flock all the bases (including the completed unit ones), then assemble the Reductors, cut the tabs off of both units and pin their feet at one time, prime em, the slap some paint on em all at once as well.

Thanks for stopping in!

Well, this thread has been dead for far too long!

I've finished up the Obstructors/Reductors and should have some pictures up soon!

Up next I play on finishing the Transverse Enumerator up. I've also assembled my first Enigma Foundry. I'm currently waiting on a bag of crap (bases) from Secret Weapon, which will then lead me into some Iron Kingdoms/Reaper Miniatures for an upcoming IKRPG I'm planning.
