I was planning to do this as a P&M blog, but I got a little overzealous and couldn't stop painting to take photos. Anyway, here's the final result:

I used all of the new technical paints in at least some small way on this model, though the most predominant are Nurgle's Rot (the reason I did this model in the first place), and Agrellan Earth, which I didn't get a good photo of.

It's a great idea. Not sure if your camera flash has bleached out colour, but it looks a bit flat. Particularly the nurgles rot stuff - it looks a bit 2 dimensional.

Being a nurgle critter, maybe some more lurid tones on the skin would help - it looks a little clean for nurgle. Maybe some purples or greens in there would help give that diseased feel?

Great idea for a conversion though. Don't let my opinion get you down either - its just one opinion.

I agree. a greener flesh tone would be nice, and maybe some greenstuff bones but asides, I really do like the model and think it would look good in the right army!

Great start.
I think maybe some dark red lines/areas around the sores to make them look even more infected would be a nice contrast.
Maybe yellow the eyes a bit to make him look kind of jaundiced.

Overall, though, I think this is a great idea and an exceptionally cool conversion. Nice work.

Spotting purple, green, and yellow washes on an area will also give a good bruising effect. I like to do this around sores and open wounds.

Shameless link to my painting blog :
Nurlge love you
