Just finished up this riptide. It's my first model in some time but I think it came out nicely. I would love to see what everyone is doing with theirs, so let's see 'em guys!

Edit: Sorry had to flip some pictures.

I really like the pose of your Riptide, it's quite cinematic.

Here's what I've done with mine

Thanks I wanted to get wild with it. I like how dingy you've made yours. How do you get your gold so smooth. Mine just won't do that so I avoid it.

The pose on #1 is quite dynamic, love the weathering on #2. Good work men!

Remember a good paintjob is a thousand times better than bare plastic/metal! That is what I shoot for.

My friend, disilussioned with the Riptide model when it first came out, scratch built his own in the truest sense of the word.

I feel like the title of this thread warrants a showing of his version for completion.

I know this section is for completed models but this one is getting close so ill throw in a photo. I have just taken the hobby up again so my painting skills where pretty rusty. the first tide is from two weeks ago, the other is in progress. Point being my painting has come around quickly and I now fear I will have to paint the first one again just to get him on par.

These look amazing. The different shades of blue really make them pop.

I don't actually own a Tau army so don't have a Riptide. I just thought I would comment on these.

I know there is a lot of riptide hate going around right now, honestly I haven't had a game in over two years. I just started buying some tau stuff because they finally got a new dex and I have time again. I have always loved the tau models but until now I was a BA player. I'm going to get my first game with my tau tomorrow so I guess I'll see just how boss my double tides are. I'll be picking up a third model tomorrow but I understand triptide lists don't make you any friends so I won't be fielding them is friendly games. However after all the tide hate I've read I will most certainly be posing my third tide after the whistle-while-you-walk "haters gonna hate" memes that are ever so popular. Can't wait to post some pics of it. Keep the pictures coming guys.
BTW at what point is this conversation considered necromancy? Love the work guys keep em coming! Love the penis gun mod!
Edit: typos, sorry guys all my posts are from iPad or iPhone. My gpu broke loose from my motherboard when I moved and something snapped loose from the receiver. Models or PC parts you know?

"Cheese!", says the guy who was literally the first one to bust out a revenant titan in a regular game.

Also, it's been two days, I wouldn't worry about necromancy until a few months from now.

Commander-Nightflier, the hand came off of a Zaku model kit. I had to build the fingers from plasticard.
