graven - These legs were made for scuttling.... Cheers, don't think I've worked back from a finished mini before, so it's been fun.
Snrub - How I like it Scoria was an amateur...
Theo - Thanks! Two blown shoulders sounds interesting, put in the ideas vault. In this case I put the spike there to make sure I got a bit of rusty metal in somewhere other than the chainmail.
Salvage - Cheers! Pikmin are what uncorrupted nurglings would look like Plenty of skittering to come
CK - Thanks! Yeah, that was just the first tentacle of about the right size I picked up, if I use one I'll make a fresh one I'm quite liking the open wound look at the moment - although that does leave him short on tentacles...
So a bit of paint on the Lord
Still not sure if the helmet will get the simple filled and be smooth in contrast to the rest, or get more holes and for added.
And felt the need for some armoured slug-things..
Aardslaak and Akkerslaak, the Bile Vipers.
They were just going to be on their own, but I'm starting to wonder about a Chariot of Rot...

Lover the armored slug things , who says papa nurgle doesn’t look out for the little guys .
I love the chaps lord. No idea where you should go with the eye.
Today is the seventh day of the month so these guys are extra special in nurgles eyes.

Slug thingies are excellent did you mean a daemonhost in a CAFE based on the Celestial Hurricanum kit or something else. Daemonhost in a Greasy Spoon does amuse me.

Tyranid Horde - Perfectly acceptable to miss a few, you get more variety when you visit that way I'm partial to the Tek-Wraiths myself, although they changed a bit from the original idea (no surprise there really) which was one I keep meaning to do - a tech-priest (Imperial or Tainted) with a skeletal horse's head. An easy-to-build box seemed an ideal starting paintbrush I couldn't find a Cawdor box in my FLGS.
Theo - Not so little after Papa's attentions Everyone is extra special in Nurgle's rotted fly eyes Although that makes me wonder about incorporating old tales about seventh son of a seventh son into the Nurglesphere...
graven - I initially dismissed them as beasts, no idea why, possibly just thinking of the size of the old metal ones. But you're right, they would work well for that.....I'll have to find some more for the Chariot of Rot
Llama - Cheers! Ahh..autocorrect, how I love thee.... I find so many issues when I go back over my posts I wonder how anyone understands me - problem with posting on a tablet. It was meant to read CAGE .... although you're right, the idea of a daemonhost (autocorrect swears I mean feminist) sitting with a cuppa and a plate of egg and chips has potential for a vignette As does the idea of turning the Hurricanum into a burger van.
amazingturtles - Many thanks. Why have a lamp when you could have a tentacle?
So, as the Bile Vipers are the flavour of the month, started in on the bases for them, having decided these two will be beasts.
There will be an acidic slime trail behind them...probably not using Nurgle's Rot as I first thought (see further down)
Also I now have the first 7 poxwalkers on bases, although only the grave(n) walker is finished at this point.
When the cursed sorcerors of The Scourge take to the field, they call forth twisted, unholy forms from the blighted grounds they have desecrated, a sickening mix of dead biology and warp-spawned chaos.
My first use of Nurgle's Rot, which I believed to be more transparent than it turned out (more cool me for trusting some half-remembered source and not experimenting first). Definitely not the look I was after, so some fiddling to be done there. I do think I might try mixing some with some clear crackle paint though, that might be interesting. And yes, if these look familiar it's because I finally got round to re-using some of the parts from the broken Road To Nowhere
And as it's Christmas season apparently, a little fairy popped in....
Thanks for stopping in...

Theo - Glad you liked it, I'm still adding to them so should be proper icky by the time they're done
graven - Bostik in this case as I'm out of UHU, but close enough. I would have preferred UHU, it's slightly easier to control than Bostik I find.
Syro - Well I have a box of them still, so no doubt you'll see more at some point - originally planned to be more Slaaneshi with them, but they turned out great for Nurgle now I'm doing a bit of work on the side for Papa
tinfoil - Yeah, need to watch out for that sort of thing, good idea to check for stray tentacles too after a visit Don't let it keep you away though
Fifty - I know, but I keep wondering if that's too obvious, plus I'm not convinced I could do it justice without some practice at big eyes. Current thinking is yellow with some rotting holes drilled out, but I haven't committed to the yet.
neil - Cheers bud, many thanks for stopping by, great to see you around.
Doc - Thank you.
So been fairly busy at work recently, several nights stopping over in hotels, 70-80 hour weeks, that sort of thing
Not a lot accomplished therefore, and couple of packages I was waiting on for caught in the seasonal post and didn't make it before I broke up. But did finish building the two blight hauler crawlers, and their third compadre.
Risked a primer spray just now, so hoping that dries okay. Have realised that those sputtering legs means they won't fit on a 60mm base, which isn't a huge issue as I don't play, but bugs me a little for some reason.

Kernel - Many thanks! I find a lot of 'nid parts work for chaos and bio-tech without too much work.
CC - Cheers bud. If these start spinning down from the ceiling....run!!!!
Cam - Thanks mate. To you and yours also.
kestral - Thank you. Who can resist armoured slugs?
T Horde - They are great legs for skittering wee beasties. Unfortunately I'm starting to run low, and they seem to be fairly pricy on ebay at present.
So not much done over the last week, mostly concerned with playing video games, eating too much and drinking. Plus starting to look over entries for the LOER comp....Still a day and a half left.
Did start to drop some paint on the charming little hauler crawlers though....

Those legs really sell the models. They make the defiler look like the junk they were designed to be. Colors are coming along nicely and your force will be a strong squishy cohesive gooey force of slapping tentacles.

Theo - Excellent - a strong squishy cohesive boost force of slapping tentacles sounds to be just what the (plague)doctor ordered
graven - Cheers amigo!
Well, back to work tomorrow and haven't done anywhere near as much as I'd hoped in the break. Seems I did too much gaming and socialising, what a drag
Not much progress on the hauler crawlers...
Made a start on the first squad of support troopers...
A reminder of why I never did get anywhere with the various guard forces I've thought about over the years.....only seven of the buggers and that's more than enough of a taste of good old batch painting, even with basic colours.
Also playing with some plague ogryns.
With that head I'm now not so sure of the whole 'zombie' look I had going, but already chipped up the remaining over body I had....
And before I started back on that first hauler crawler I built a leg section for a proposed magos, which I've now come back to.
However, it would be remiss of me too not explore the options available as a servitor on the same chassis
Tempting.
And the thought of this guy floating around looking for hugs seems quite nice.
Although, perhaps he might prefer some legs....
Decisions, decisions.
And found the misplaced tracks for the predator
Thanks for stopping by, be careful where you step....

Wowwww damn MT you have raised your game yet again, I have peaked in from time to time, but don't have much in the way of time so must apologise for not leaving any comments.
However after having a quick run back through the year of your Nurgle, pestilence and plague ridden creations, I am more than impressed even amazed at the depths you have reached.
They all seem to have an original structure yet fit into the theme perfectly, also your GS work is astounding and matches up to the GW kits seamlessly to the point where you can't tell which is kit and what is conversion work.
Even the marines ( yes I ain't a fan of SM ) however Nurgle marines have always caught my attention a little but yours have cemented that now and tie it all together.
Add to this your paint work and colour pallet, which has an almost blanche esq vibe to it really embodies that is Nurgle.
This has been a real pleasure to look through and can I just say your creativity never ceased to amaze me, however you have once again taken it to another level and found a real niche for the plague ridden style, just awesome work
Last but no way least the nomadic trader is just a cool combination of kits, the way you have continued on with the biogenetic theme with the mule system is just epic.
I love how you manage to foresee a way of combining kits in this manner, this creation I love so much and can see it strolling through some desolate wasteland to reach some kind of market or trade post.
