Well, if you wait a while, it will eventually turn up in our battle report threads (I'm currently running about 6 months behind) - but here's a couple of your favorite terrain:

Giving the Fallen jellybellies while curmudgeonly griping about war, the uselessness of dark secrets and brotherly spats. Also fixing the time stream or something. Who knows? he wasn't making a lot of sense and being really condescending to the space marines. We tried to shoot him, but for some reason, he fast talked his way out it.

Don't tempt me too much or I will actually include in my next game the 4th Doctor miniature I was given a few Christmases ago. I just have to find that miniature.

Well next game I am hoping to have my Genestealer Cult ready for six limb salivation salvation with a Tyranid team. It will probably be really boring as the Tyranids just congratulate the Genestealer Cult for preparing the planet in advance of their arrival. Papa Patriarch says when the 'nids that he is calling get here they are gonna to give us cultists something called pizza, soda and ice cream cake, oh, and Carnifex rides. Plus, everyone will get 'Good Job' trophies, cushy high paying jobs (that is totally not working in the mines anymore) and luxury apartments for making their liberation of the planet so much easier for them. Papa Patriarch says they won't totally try to eat us, and that genestealer cousin BobbySue is just trying to scare us.

Spoiler:

They are a still a little rough yet.

Minas tirith 10, isengard 2. By happenstance he brought 2 trolls, i had 2 excelent troll killers, he didn't screen them and i rolled very well.

When his wound rolls also sucked except crossbows in close combat where they killed 4 knights and couple foot warriors in 1 vs 1 despite cavalry charges(wtf?) It was fairly easy win for gondor

Two games today of Kill Team.

First game was a doubles game of Rusted Claw Genestealer Cultists (me) and Leviathan Tyranids vs. Crimson Fists and Deathwatch. Again we played the Objective Ultima mission.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

I figured the game would be a tie since it was probably going to be hard for either side to capture the Ultima Objective. However, fairly early on the Genestealer Cultists were having some success killing the Crimson Fists with some choice mining equipment (that Rock Drill and Mining Laser are just mean). The space bugs managed to put 2 points on the board and held the lead more most of the game. In fact, if the game would have ending after round 4 (variable turn ending) the Tyranids and allies would have secured the win. Instead the game went as many turns as it could. The space marines absolutely shattered the cultists will to fight by Round 5 completely breaking the team. I had to spend my CP just to prevent the marines from scoring points off our closer objectives. Ultimately, the marines tied the game but it ended before they could keep adding more.

This was easily my most fun team game. Normally, they are basically longer single versus games where each player takes on the one across from them. This one was largely no different, but I think with the nids player going all melee this allowed for a little more coordination where I worked on holding the points with he kept the bigger threats off my back. I said it was going to be a tie, but I thought neither side wasn't going to get any points. I pushed hard to get something and did, but I knew that it would only be a matter of time before my team's back was broken. When it did, I was basically out of the game down to 3 neophytes (2 shottys and the Mining Laser) for the last turn.

Rusted Claw subfaction trait pretty much work like I thought it would. Pretty much nerfed all Primaris weapons and didn't affect much else. It came in handy for some SIA and fortunately the Crismon Fist player had a couple assault weapons he could put to great effect. It saved me more than a few times it just felt uneven on how much it worked against my opponent which I don't like.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Also managed to get in another game. This time Admech (me) vs. Necrons. Capture one the enemy's objectives before they capture one of yours mission. I had good luck most of the game and pushed at the right times as well as knowing when and where to speed bump the crons in melee. This was also a really good game as my plan worked pretty well most of the game.

Huzah, random pictures time!

We had a freshmens' night at the roleplaying club and as the resident miniature nut I led some incursions into Space Hulk for the new blood. Always nice to have a 3D board ready for random layouts, slap every player two marines and it's burninating time

Attempting to reroute a hulk full of 'stealers away from the rich agriworld below, first eight men died, next twelve men died but finally the last fourteen had the spine to blow up their objectives (and then die immediately afterwards). Some pics taken by a friend:

"Ach, Gynter, we're all gonna die!"

Gondor vs mordor with spiders. Big spiders. Very very big spiders.

Random arrival bit me hard getting bolt thrower killed instantly, half my army footslog from other side and boromir & co getting into fight vs his whole army. Not a pretty end. At least he didn't get maximum points so 6-0 rather than 12-0. Boromir still unhurt(but unable to alter game) and he only had majority over objective, not double the count(game endeavors before he slaughtered rest)

Spoiler:

First game of the day was a special combination Assassination mission and capture objective mission. My opponent playing Dark Angels had to kill my leader while I had to capture one or two objectives along his long board edge to end the game. While I won this game with a fluke kill with a neophyte, I think it really has some legs to it. The assassin team has to consider who they are going to send to take down the target while keeping reserves in two places (making castle-ing difficult) while the target player has to commit resources to actually ending the game. I think the target still has some advantage in the mission even with having to deploy all units before their opponent. I will have to think more on how to force the target to actively seek the assassins' objectives beyond good faith.

Spoiler:

Another Fallen vs. Dark Angels Kill Team game. I can't say for sure who was the Fallen and who was the Unforgiven. My team were painted in black, but my opponent was using Cypher as a Vet Sgt with Power Sword and Plasma Pistol. Ultimately, my opponent capitalized on some key actions and won that game.

Next was a game that I sat out as one the players tried their hand at Necrons vs. the Dark Angels again. I think the Necrons (and my body heavy team) were too different from what he was used to as well as his opponent nailing those non 6 Injury rolls. I like both those pictures are one show a steady shambling of the 'Feral' ones and the other has a Dark Angel in close combat with one.

Spoiler:

Finally, an Assassination mission of human mercenaries claiming to be a special detachment of guard/scions and the Dark Angels having none of it. My leader is in the upper right of the picture with a plasma pistol and power sword. It was a really good game that I lost as the mercs when a only Dark Angel with a clear shot on the last round fire a plasmagun volley at him incinerating him completely. At least I forced the Dark Angels to be making Break Tests (which they almost failed if not for Grim Resolve) the round before.

Necrons vs krieg in escalation league, 1700 pts. Necrons were killing infantry with ease(loving doomsday ark) but 3 basilisks and 2 tank commanders were giving headache. However rough riders from reserve failed charge getting charged by destroyers instead. This saved 'em from shooting and lances, killed couple and i can fall back and shoot.

Eventually they failed to prevent dda from shooting tank commander, destroyers dealt with other and 2 basilisk and game won

Got some Titanicus in after a while of other games, testing a funky custom Legio list for an upcoming tournament and wow did it tear through the opposing Astorum line. ~1700 points, two maniples on both sides.

Mission was for him to break through to my depo and for me to prevent that, with extra points for kills on both sides.

Brutality ensued. From the getgo, their lines got ravaged with shield stripping shelling, bombing runs and ceaseless artillery that bogged down any hopes of advancing while the terrain allowed me to maneuver into natural chokepoints while Venators meant my leaders could hammer the opposition with Melta and Mori/Belicosa fire. The Astorum pushed valiantly, but in vain as eventually they were wiped on the final turn with 6-1 engine kills. Harsh, but the mission played perfectly to my strengths. Swapping around, we'll try again tomorrow and see if I can break their line
