Super creepy work on the rippers and gaunts - getting War of the Worlds vibes from the bases in a good spooky alien way.

Great job on Crossbones too - love the transitions on the flesh and the mask is really impressive even in super close up. The little details on the base tie it all up nicely.

They look great - is that scheme quick to paint? It's effective.

Batch painting to allow drying I can get 20 hormagaunts done in 2 hours. Half of that time is the bases as it has to be done last and the wash on the skulls takes time to dry.

So yes, it is very quick.

FLYRANT (Magnetised)

Those wings are creepy; excellent work.

Wing skin is done by cadian fleshtone (needed 2 layers to get good cover), kislev flesh normal application on edges and really raised areas and then light kislev flesh drybrush to bring it together.
Then mildly thinned (with water) carroburg crimson applied at the same time as the rest of the miniature.
Just needed a clean brush to soak up any obvious puddles of wash.

Back to 54mm Inquisitor models.

Thinned Blood for the blood god over gold.
All the blast effects on previous Iron Men have melded from blue to a fire and smoke effect.

But with the splash style to the energy effect I thought to keep it all the same colour, and just ramp up the intensity/contrast.

Thanks, as with all the OSL on my MCP models all done with drybrushing.

Some you can just see the purple tinge from a wash on the steel. Wish it was a shade stronger... later terrain will have a heavier wash.

Not including during time for the base metal and washes, all done in about 1 and a half hours, half was the purple bits. Just do the gems on the sides gold, similar to the box art. Will save a hell of a lot of time.

Has been sitting around in a box for 20+ years and decided this month I'd get him done.

Tried stippling to add texture and very happy with how he turned out.
