So I'm starting to work on my Wargamescon army for June and have decided to go with a "relic" themed marine army. The list will be built around two Sicarian tanks and a master of the forge. I'll probably add one more Forgeworld "relic" like a scorpius whirlwind or javelin speeder. What chapter or legion would you use to represent this core?

Iron hands chapter tactics but if it was me I'd go for Son's of Medusa colors.

3000pts XIIth Legiones Astartes 8th Assault Company. (Pre heresy)

never in the field of human conflict, has so much been fired at so many, by so few.

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions. Loyal servant to the true emperor Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Though they tend to favor using the enemies own artifacts against them.

One of the Dark Angels' sucessor chapters makes wide use of ancient armor patterns and relic vehicles.

Can't remember its name now and don't have the DA codex at hand... Guardians of the Covenant or something like that.
