I'll start this off by saying that I've met Zach in person before, as he would occasionally visit the FLGS where I played from around 2010-2011. He came across as a likable guy and we got along fairly well in the few interactions we had. He never had a negative reputation for anything at our store and most of us enjoyed playing with him/having him around. Sadly, no one has his personal contact information, so I can't get in touch with him via those channels. Because our interaction was a trade, I don't have a paypal/email account to go through. I know that recently he and his wife had a child and he's working multiple jobs, so he's very busy, which I'm hoping is why I haven't heard from him (Also hoping nothing bad has happened to him). With that said, here's the history of our interactions;

12/23 - I contact him based on his trading thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/569570.page
12/29 - We agree to a trade. (Ork army for Eldar army)
12/30 - He asks that I ship first because he has 2 more positive trades than me (On the old list, I have more if you take the time to search the thread). This is my last message from him. I respond(Half jokingly) we should ship together because I actually have more trades and we know eachother.
12/30 - I ship and provide tracking (9114901123086911270690)
1/3 - Package arrived
1/5 - I message asking if he was waiting to receive before shipping.
1/10 - I message letting him know tracking says the package arrived and asking if he has shipped yet.
1/12 - I message letting him know it's been two weeks since I've heard from him, and he has a few days until I open a transaction report.

Because there is no paypal dispute to be made, and our history, I'd been more generous with time frames than normal. I'm hoping everything is alright with his family and this just slipped through the cracks, but in case something more nefarious was afoot I felt this report was a necessity. I will continue attempting to make contact with him through other channels and hopefully the admins here have an email they can try.

I am presently in a trade with zackwho also. I traded a lot of Orks for an Imperial Sector and a 6th edition rule book. However, I only received an Imperial Sector. I haven't made a report yet, as I need to go to the Post office to have the package weighed. He hasn't responded to my messages lately. I shipped first, and it took him about three weeks to even get the Imperial Sector to me.

I would message him, and tell him that without some activity on his part, you would be reporting him to the USPS for mail fraud (which this would be), as well as notifying his local police of the theft of your items.

I had a similar situation happen and the police department in his city took my report, I provided his info, address, pointed to the online evidence, provided copies of communication, etc. They contacted him and he eventually complied. The prices of some of our armies can run into the hundreds of dollars, so its not small potatoes anymore.

I'm going to wait until I've exhausted all network connections before I proceed along that route. As I said before, I know the guy and I'm mostly concerned with his well being.

Sorry if it seemed I was saying to go in guns blazing. Considering the other report of it taking some time for him to ship, it very easily could be a personal/work issue or something.

Still, dropping a quick note to let someone know there is a problem (unless you're hospitalized) isn't too much to ask. I do hope he is all right and things are resolved.

well i am truly shamed!

this is in all seriousness very embarrassing, and i would.like to try and explain.

im.just busy beyond my means atm, and in hindsight i shouldn't have entered into the trade with tom (toxin) until i was able to fulfill my end with him in a way that was acceptable to him.
after we made the trade, one of my two jobs went mandatory overtime, 12hours a day, haven't seen sunlight since Christmas. on top of that i have a new baby, and my wife lost her job on the 2nd, yay!!!

none of that plays anypart in my trade, but it has severely hampered my ability to respond and ship to him in a timely manner. and honestly, i.just forgot witheverything going on. i have contacted toxin, and am in touch to work out somethimg to make up for his time other than the army, which will also be sent post haste!

ropersteele: i have contacted you, and im going to be as honest and blunt here as one can be: i sent you both the book and the imperial sector.

i am not paypaling you $40, or anything for that matter. when you have the sector weighed you will see that the package i sent was heavier. this is an issue you will have with the PO, i tried to help you with this situation before i became so busy with everything, you were unable to make the time or or this a priority then, and i dont have the time or desire to now. if indeed we see that the package i sent and you recieved are the, ill come to some sort.of agreement with you then.

i.know we wont get to that point.

You haven't tried to help me with the situation. I messaged you to get your email, to send you pictures of the box. No response. I asked if you'd contacted the post office about the box. No response. It wasn't a priority for me because you're not the only one who has responsibilities. I didn't set aside time to research a package I was due a month ago, and it's not the package I sent that has come up wanting. I have given you the benefit of the doubt, and you have refused to do anything but repeat "I sent the book." It can very well be that the USPS has caused this (they had the box for over a week after all), but I can't tell because you won't even look at a picture of the box. I've only asked that you help me recover what I'm due in exchange for what I sent you(and you recieved in its entirety) I understand it's not a priority though. I'll have the package weighed, and we'll take things from there.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I went to the post office, and had the box weighed. When the box was shipped it weighed more than it did upon arriving In Huntington, my city. At some point the book stopped being in the box before arriving at the Huntington post office. As you'd know if you'd taken five seconds, the box was beaten and battered upon arrival. A claim can be filed, but it can only be filed by the person with the receipt. If you genuinely care about honestly fulfilling this trade, I either need the numbers off that receipt, or you just have to file a claim online.

Got the Eldar today in the mail. Consider this resolved on my end.
