@Gits - Yeah, all the interceptors have black face plates, it was a random choice when I did the first one (it was to separate them from the strike squad I was doing at the time)

@Justaerin - Kind of what I was going for, I was hoping a helix, minus one band (better fighters get the full helix)

Update: Face done, finished up some of the edge higlighting on the armour of one model, only three more to do.

I'm thoroughly impressed with you grey knight paint scheme's consistency over the years. Still some of the cleanest painting around. You can definitely see improvement in you details though. Current faces are looking really good!

It's interesting you mention improvement, I can definitely say there have been some adjustments on how I paint faces, but I feel overall the rest of the models have become a little quicker but with less 'finesse' but thats just me

Nice work Knightley, even without the "proper" photos can see this squad is up to the usual high standard, although I think the heavy flamer on the left is having a few gear issues

@Solar - I tell you what, once I finish this push I'll do a GK/SM pic of all the completed models for everyone. How does that sound?

Update: Last year I played in a couple of D&D games as a player I quickly realised I wanted people to run around in my head, so I've been working on being a DM for a group of mates. All up we're onto session 6 with the last two being everyone in the same team together, and the feedback so far is they really like it, so much so that two of the players have had models from www.heroforge.com created and they have asked me to paint them. So for the next couple of weeks expect WIP's of some D&D models

First up is Garion Von Adel, Human Paladin of the Order of the White Gauntlet. I've not had a lot of restrictions to work on, so the player provided his family crest for me (going on the cloak) and said put a white gauntlet on the sheild, so here we are. Oh he also has a scar going from his temple to the back of his neck (covered with hair at the back)

After what you produced for your own D&D model I'm keen to see what you produce for your mates.

Looking good so far, free hand is going to be choice I reckon. Order of the White Gauntlet... the white hand of Saruman... this human could go down a darker path

@Mad - Agreed! I am planning on tempting the Paladin with some dark options to see if I can bait him *insert evil laugh*

Update: So showed my mate his washed model, he had feed back about the shield design and thought he had told me he had redesigned the look, so now its been updated as welll!

Heh, I remember you doing the Paladin last year, it was some of your best works. This guy is shaping up to be the same, the family crest looks really good already. The freehand is great Knightley, well done. Glad to hear you've got yourself really into the RP sessions!

@Solar - Thanks, I still need to do a lot of work on my highlighting metals, I get very complacent and make to many mistakes with them.

@Mad - I know, I had grand designs on how it would have looked, I guess this one will have to do eh

@WarbossDakka - Yeah, there is so much planning and content creation involved, I only had an inkling of what I was getting myself into!

Simply beautiful Knightley. These D&D minis are an excellent change of pace from the usual GK work. Though I suppose it's no coincidence that he's a paladin, no?

Brilliant work all round, your crispy goodness goes well on the D&D figure. Nice squiggles. Be nice to see the fancy colourful first letter squiggles on the shield though.

Looking pretty ace Knightley.

One bit bit of feedback from myself is regarding the symbol on the cloak. The bottom shield part of it seems to blend in with the cloak colour too much and it's not really differentiated.

Could be the photo washing the colours together, or maybe thats the effect your after, just thought I'd make mention of it.

The shield looks awesome though

@Justaerin - You could say it was planned, but my mate, like me, loves paladins so he was always going to play one.

@Cam - Good point, I had thought about doing that, but couldn't decided on a colour to use, thoughts?

@Mad - Totally the washed out whites, there *should* be a dark line to separate out the sheild from cloak, and the cloak *should* be a fraction darker

Update: Finished the Front to allow him to be used in the game over the weekend, my mate loves it!
