I'm mildly interested in this game. Is there any idea when the Asterians will be released?

We can only speculate based on when we know the Wave 2 surveys will ne made available/closed and when payment is likely to be taken, and extrapolate based on Mantic's previous kickstarter timescales.

So... 'later this year' then.

I don't think the current factions are enough to get my group to try it...but 6 might do the trick.

Mars attacks will also be introducing two more factions, the human survivors (it may have a better name too) and the martians themselves. Of course that's all due out later and we've got no idea how things will be handled retail for that. I would assume they'd keep printing the cards though, maybe they'll do a faction starter style bundle for both factions. Not sure, I guess best not to think about it... too much.

Makes me enthusiastic for the future though, may get new factions introduced sans kickstarter as the years roll by, or perhaps a mini kickstarter to generate new factions only etc.
