Subject: World Of Twilight: Travels through Anyaral Kickstarter : few hours
Twilight is a small scale skirmish game set in the unique fantasy world of Anyaral. I've been working on the world and the game for well over a decade and since 2009 I have written and published the first two books in the series, released a wide range of finely sculpted miniatures and built a community of enthusiastic gamers, world builders and painters.
What is Twilight?
•Unique alternate fantasy setting with a deep and evocative background
•A wide range of existing figures
•Fast, fun ruleset for skirmish wargames
•Three distinct cultures, each with a unique playstyle plus a larger number of different subcultures to give even more choice
The Kickstarter
I'm very excited to present this kickstarter! For the last year I've been working on the third Twilight book; Travels through Anyaral. It is now almost complete and this is your opportunity to help me get it into production (as well as getting some fun toys in the process)! If you have already tried World of Twilight then this is a great way to round off your collection with the new book, PLUS a limited resin edition model of Gil Masharl, Travelling Biologist, with his lizardy pet on his shoulder and an interesting hat.

I was wondering that, too (it says "small scale"). It certainly looks that way. There is some cool stuff out there for 15mm... I love the look of the art in that first pic in the OP, but am not as convinced on the miniatures (although they're not bad at all).
What is the difference with the 3 books? I see there's a pledge for just one book- is that a rulebook, and the other two are... expansions? Art books?
Neat little campaign

Thank you! I'll get an update in place that it is pretty much 28mm scale (although no humans for direct comparison - Fubarnii are about 22mm tall while the Devanu are 35mm or so).

many strange creatures which could be used in so many other games.... (Edit: that's not to say they shouldn't be used in the game they were made for too!)

RiTides - sorry for the slow response. I published the first book a few years ago which contains all the core rules. The second book was published three years ago and included updates to the rules and some additional forces for each of the three cultures. The thrid book is the new one and includes a lot of new models and themed forces.
I'm hoping to be able to release all three books as a compiled edition if the project continues to go well.

even if I can't afford to take part helping promote cool minis is fun
The Champions of Anyaral will be those people who have really helped to make this campaign a success and who I would like to say a big thank you to. The Champions will all get a special mention in the book (either book 3 or the compilation) and a free very limited miniature (more on that below).
There are two ways to become a Champion:
Firstly, anybody who has pledged at least £250 (including international postage costs) will be automatically made a Champion as a thank you for the huge amount of faith you are putting in me!
However, I don’t just want this to be for people who have spent a lot of money. Anybody who thinks they have done something special to help the campaign can send me a message and ask to become a Champion – this may be writing a review for your blog, bullying your local game club into trying Twilight out, or generally enthusing on forums and spreading the word. From those requests I’ll choose the best to become Champions. After the Kickstarter is over I’ll do a special update to announce who the Champions are!
Young Gil
Lots of people have helped me with Twilight over the years – some have contributed to the world while others have shown up at shows year after year to ask me what new releases there are. I wanted to do a special sculpt that I can give to people as a thank you and I have finally chosen the subject matter! May I introduce Young Gil, this intrepid young Fubarnii dreams of nothing else than to roam Anyaral in pursuit of exotic creatures!
This little guy will never go on sale and will only ever be given away as a personal thank you from me. As a starter I’ll give him to all the Champions of Anyaral. I’ll also have him at shows in the future and there will be plenty of opportunities to get hold of him by participating in painting contests or posting on the forums.
(baby Gil is sooo cute)

the one above seems especially good for those intending to play (rather than just grab the minis), a nice big compilation book means less individual bits of clutter to carry

Pledged 66 GBP for the noble starter and the 30 GBP level for the books etc. Lovely!!!
How does one end up as a champion to get Baby Gil, I cannot afford 250 GBP pledge now... Oh, well... I will have to enter my nobles and Delgon into painting contests and hope to win young Gil as a runner-up! (My painting is TT-standard tops...)
Young Gil is so full of cute that I simply must have him!
