Looked around but can't seem to find clrifcation on this.

Ork codex says that warbikes give +1 T exept in the event of Instant Death. Base 4T increased by bike to 5. Does that mean that that melta shots which are S8, ID 2 wound warbikes??

Facing a huge squad of bikes and putting melta into them would make a difference.

Thoughts or oppinions please??

The ork codex is an old one, now the Toughness bonus bikes grant is used for all purposes, even ID. Your bikes basically should read T:5

What you are looking for is on Page 2 or 3 of the main rulebook. Modifiers are now full modifiers so the +1T now makes them a flat T5(6 for a warboss) rendering S8 not double Toughness.

No such statement. What does exist is a restating in amendments that tells you to always use the bracketed value for toughness.

Which is unnecessary as the core rules tell you the same basic thing.

Thought as much guys, but was hoping that it ws an Ork weakness haha.

I will have strip them off 1 wound at a time or drop my demolisher on them
