So, I got a new digital camera and I've been trying to document my models. Here are some of my Angels of fire heroes.

These were painted over a number of years starting at the right and leading to the dynamic guy on the left.

very nice but I think that I would have liked it better if the chaplain had black armour.

I don't like the chaplain's head. It looks off somehow, maybe a tad too large or something. Othewise the painting is all rather good.

GW usually makes sure their bare heads, skull heads and helmet heads are all the same size so they look like they're in proportion (even though helmet heads should be much larger). that's probably what's bugging you with the chappy.

I vote for bigger pictures.

So why all the votes for the black armored chaplain? If I were more traditional he'd be in black... but its really hard to add flair to black armor. I'll put my jump chaplain in black since he's the next marine officer on the list of to-do's.

they look all pretty cool, altough the Guy with the Power looks like he's almost falling on his nose. "this way man, waaahhhh! not again"
the white Chaplain doesn't bother me. at least the Capes still black. but on the white armor, the flames don't really come out right
