Having secured a new job an a positive income again I finally was able to pick up my first haul. My first purchase was the JSA starter pack, ninja, and Guilang Sniper. I really liked the look of the model. It wasn't until I started playing with the Army builder that I realized that it's not a unit in the GSA. Plus side I can proxy it as a Ninja Sniper, Spec Ops sniper or a Raiden. After playing a few games and getting a hang of the rules I picked up the Keisotsu with HMG, LGL and a Tokusetsu. Then it was the Haramaki Zensenbutai and the actual Spec Ops. My last haul was the Dire Foes pack and the Support Pack.

I will be using MAS Urban bases for my models and is also my first dive into uses scenic bases as well. My first models that I have started to work on were my Ninjas. even though the green and black paint job is striking I decided to go with a more unique and personal take on my ninja by painting them up as my favorite Merc with a Mouth.

I'm almost done with both of them just need to finish the base for the Oniwaban and finish the Ninja's hair. My next haul will be the Aragato Bikers, an O-Yoroi, and the O-Yoroi pilot. I want copy people's conversions of the the two sets into one like this one found on Certs Tabletop

This one is a slightly larger update as I have gotten around to putting paint to the rest of my models. Been working like a factory assembly line with them. Once they are tabletop worthy I will go back and detail them more in a bit.

I've gone with the original JSA colors but with some slight changes by having the sleeves be black instead of the grey on my Keisotsus as I feel that it will make the white pop more.

Yuriko Oda

I'm also loving the look of my Haramaki more now that they are not straight pewter. I love the pose of the "leader" very reminiscent of a dueler's pose and the one used by Obi-wan in Revenge of the Sith.

I've had a stroke of bad luck with a couple of my models My Kempeitai's hilt broke of and my girl's dog got a hold of my Tokusetsu. Lucky for the Kempeitai I snagged the hilt from my Domaru (Which might be proxied as my Doctor/engineer).

My original plans for my Tokusetsu was to have his helmet done up like Toad from Mario but that changed last Wednesday when I came home from dropping my friend off. Come to find out that the dog had decided to see what my model tasted like. There was some superficial damage that was able to be repaired with green stuff. The biggest loss was loosing the head. He was almost finished as well. I was lucky that I still had my Gui Feng's extra head for him. He might become a Spec Ops or another Keisotsu

Speaking of Spec Ops here is mine converted to be holding a spitfire.

My "Red Hood" Gui Lang Sniper. You can't really tell in the photo but his jacket looks like leather in person.

Comms Engineer which will probably also be used as my Warcor/Journalist for if/when we do Campaign Paradiso here.

Assorted Minis and Scenic Bases (Can't wait for CMoN to get them back in stock!)

Last but not least my two Deadpool Ninjas.

Your guys are looking good so far. Can I ask how you modded the spec ops guy? Did you swap his arms, or just cut up his existing ones?

I cut up his exsisting arm that held the pistol and shifted the arm holding the blade to accommodate the space taken up by the spitfire.

Now that is a lot of infinity to tackle all at once! I especially like your dead pool ninjas.

Thank you. Nice thing about sticking with the stock JSA theme I can run my models through like an assembly line. I'm almost to the paint where I will be highlight every model just got to finish with the reds, weapons, and sword hilts.

Ahh, see, I had to stop large scale batch painting even for 10 man squads, partially because of highlights. The prospect of doing the highlights on 10 models straight in a row just made me sad :p That's part of my goodwill towards Infinity, pretty models that I only feel inclined to paint one of at a time.

Of course I've got one guy painted, and you're working your way to having an entire faction with tons of options nailed down so there's certainly a benefit

I'm usually of the mind if there isn't paint on a model I won't field him. If there isn't I make sure there is progress put on him for the next game. One of my pet peeves. Games look so much better with painted models.

Yeah, i agree. I barely get to play but my hypothetical self is firmly in the painted or else mindset. The way I've been painting my dudes, they aren't usable until they're done, and they get mounted as the last step in the build process.

Very cool, that's quite a collection of minis you have there!

Love the Deadpool ninjas, and the brighter colour scheme you have gone for.

That has also prompted me to put together my own Haramaki..

After a nice re-arrangement of my art desk in preparation for when I build my spray booth for painting models I've got some nice things to show. Progress is coming pretty nice for my JSA. Most of what I have left to do is work on scenic bases and touch-ups as well as hitting the models with a sealant. I really like the Micro Art Studio urban bases they have made. Only downside with their scenic bases is they are almost double the height of a regular base. This will cause some issues with hiding my models from enemy fire but I'm willing to take those risks for nice looking bases.

First up some of my complete models to join my Ninja's on the field of battle my Haramaki, Domaru, Kemeitai, and Yuriko Oda.

Domaru

Kempeitai

Yuriko Oda

I have a total of 11 models I am needing to paint up the bases for my Keisotsu, Spec Op/Raiden, Tokusetsu/SpecOp, Guilang Sniper, Yaozao, and Comm-Tech.

Keisotsu

Tokusetsu

Spec Op

Guilang 'Red Hood" Sniper

Yaozao

Comm-Tech

My friend decided to cast a few of the objective markers from his copy of Sedition Wars and gave me his a couple test casts/ miscasts. I've included a barrel from 40k to help show some scale.

Last but not least I've sketched up a couple of layouts for an Infinity table. I'm not sure if it the layouts need more work.

I have some more progress as well. After my last two games of trying out the Domaru I have to say I enjoy them more especially after re-reading berserk..... can I say wow!! Both games I got my butt beat, at least for the second game by ITS it would have been a draw as he put me in full retreat before he got any of the objectives. First game my friend fielded his Avatar and we both found out first-hand why the Avatar costs so much, didn't help that he wouldn't stop rolling Crits..... (Both games) Second game my Domaru LT and his LT engaged in a Duel and we both killed each other by Crits, his was an HI and had a Monofilament blade and my Domaru had E/M. So he sliced my LT in half and I Immobilized his.

Now to probably you want to see and that is models. I managed to get the rest of my army bases done before my LGS big game day this past Sunday. I was going to take photos of the games around but I forgot my camera at home so my models in action will have to wait till another day.

Keisotsu

Yaozao

Domaru

Gui Feng Spec Op

Guileng Sniper

Tokusetsu

Comm Tech

Work Pile

Entire Army Shot

So on my to do list is to pick up an O-Yoroi, Remote, Aragotos, and more Domaru's then I will have a pretty nice variety.

What's the unpainted figure with the kamas? I don't recognize it, but it looks cool. Glad to see you're still chugging along on this though.

Your JSA are looking pretty sharp! The ninjas are particularly cool, but what ninjas aren't right?

If you want, why not add your updates to the list of Infinity stuff over in the Infinity section, get some cross pollinating and jolly cooperation goin' on!

Dag, I dislike Chrome, I tend to lose posts more often than with firefox =/

They all look nice

Is the Yaozao a robot? If so, maybe he can boss around the Karakuris (or whatever you call them) I wish to one day obtain.

Looking very much forward to the TAG and Aragatos.

That showcasing thread is neat, I intend to make use of it once I get some more Infinity minis ready.

The Yaozao is a G:Servant bot that's pretty cheap and helps keep my Doc or Engineer alive for a bit longer.

I am too It might be a little bit before I get the next set of models on my list. I'm currently Part-time and money is a bit tight and the Burned in Design's kickstarter is ending soon and that is what I decided to spend some of my money this paycheck aside from work related gear.
