So I'm looking at adding flavor to the bases of my ravenwing air units, but I'm wondering...for the sake of making the bases last as long as possible what is the best way to do this? I'm going to add sand and cork. Usually I use white glue for this on my normal bases. But with the glossy plastic finish, should I hit it with sandpaper first? Will white glue hold or should I use liquid super glue for these bad boys? Do you folks usually leave the stand piece unglued for transportation? Any other tips you can think of?

I chuff it all up with sand paper then score chequered lines across the base to give it more purchase. Never have it flaking off or coming loose. Before I started doing this I sometimes had the entire base peel away and ended up with a sandy Frisbee, which whilst fun did nothing to dampen my frustration at having to re-base my models
