So, no new plastic kit for the lictor? Fine, I'll make my own. I am not a fan of the pose of the current white metal/finecast version.

Parts list:
Warrior body, legs, rending claws (not from the new kit)
a pair of the smaller scything talons from a carnifex
a cut-down smooth carapace from a carnifex for an extra segment to shroud up the head more.
a blade/horn from the carnifex kit (for the tail tip)
a ripper (also for the tail tip)

The head is taking shape. I've cut down a warrior head quite a bit and drilled the vent holes in the side. Then I added the tentacles. Still needs some cleanup work around the tentacle transitions.

Thanks for the comments! I was going for more of a predator/stalker pose rather than the current lictor's static stand-up pose. I am only planning on making 1 of these right now, I'll probably use him as Deathleaper.

If you make another one, try sourcing a pair of 3-4th edition metal biovore arms. They have the correct dimensions as the rending talon arms, but, it's another pose without having to do any work. The talons are too massive for my taste. As I see it the biggest issue is that the head's a little small, if it was a little larger and a little longer it'd be fine .Hard to see the torso/carapace, can't make much comment. Overall a pretty spiffy bugger. I like the concept.

Love your Kitbash. I have never like to Lictor model either. It is supposed to be a sneaky bug assassin and it decides to stand stand up as straight as it can and point its grabbers to sky? It reminds me of Grandma's Boy where he is hugging the wall with his trenchcoat and says, "How did he see me?"

Wow, I didn't realize how much bigger it was! The extra bulk makes it a lot more menacing.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm still working on the paint. No picture updates yet, the highlighting is still too subtle so far for my phone camera to pick up well.
