Hello Dakka!
up until recently I played my marine army as a Dark Angels force, with a strong backbone of Terminators.
I started playing them with C:SM rules, and am slowly converting them into a Raven Guard successor chapter, which is pretty easy for bog standard marines, and most other units.
But I was wondering how to convert my terminators to look more fitting for a Raven Guard force? I personal think they look far too bulky and cumbersome to be a viable tactic for the Ravens as the kit is. Does anyone have any ideas how to convert them to make them more Raven Guard-ish?

Stealth terminators? spec-ops units?

EDIT: Probably worth clarifying, I'm looking to convert some terminators into some kind of TDA variant that would make sense for the Raven Guard to use, not to use in games, purely to use my old DA stuff in a creative way

Tartaros Termies would be an option. They look more spec-opsy then other Termie armour.

To answer your question- ghillie suits
also, use greenstuff and/ or plasticard to make it so there are no rounded edges (think stealth fighters)

Don't the ravenguard have in the chapter tactics "models with the bulky or very bulky rule cannot benefit from the chapter tactics" so wouldn't that mean that terminators wouldn't benefit anyways? if I were to play them I would want the big, tough and heavy units to be standing there shouting "HIT ME!!!" while jump pack wearing models sneak in covert ops.

I'm sorry the thought of stealth TDA confuses me

edit: something constructive

Terminators goes against the way raven guard operate. Even using them as a distraction would fail, because the moment they show up, knowing how RG operate, the first thought would be, "okay, just what the heck are they distracting us from". You could try gillie suits, or add funky stuff to the armour, and paint it up like its a darkness field... Similar to the tau stealth suits that are half-invisible

That, or pick an allied force. Allied forces solve all internal consistency problems.

To glimpse the future, you must look to the past and understand it. Names may change, but human behavior repeats itself. Prophetic insight is nothing more than profound hindsight.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.

Uhm... raven guard offer no benefits to bulky units...? But they do offer something for jump infantry... which is bulky in the case of space marines...? I'm kind of confused here.

The only thing RG terminators need is lightning claws.

While they don’t fit the fast moving part of the RG, you should still be able to include them in your army. Teleportation is the ultimate mobility. I’ve always envisioned Raven Guard armies working well as a hybrid list. You have the fast moving, scouting/infiltrating part on the table, and then all the slow, hard hitting, tough stuff, waiting up on the strike cruiser waiting for the call from planetside. So you can still include things like dreads and terminators, just deep striking and/or in drop pods. Or in thunderhawk or stormraven.

They are still mostly a codex adherent chapter. They have all the tools, even if they use them slightly differently.

Not that this helps with your modeling problems, but with the right frame of mind, you can still be fluffly, even with clunky units.

I see RG using termies just fine. Scouts and jump packs cause panic and repositioning, terminators 'port in to the now exposed HQs and grind em up with lightning claws.
