In the Carnifex and Trygon kits, what is that little brain-thingy supposed to represent, if anything? Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

tyranids are flexible that way. you can use it to represent multiple things, including placing it independently on its own base, pulling custom rules out of the recesses of your brain and calling it a spore mine.

I'm pretty sure it was adrenal glands, but I cant remember what else used to be in the codex it could be used to represent.

As said before, it's meant to represent Adrenal Glands.
