I don't have the codex yet, but soon.
A tough list would be good, but not entirely necessary.
Keep in mind that this would be used in friendly games with my group. They won't care about proxies/counts as, as long as it's easily enough figured out. So, no worries about "opponent's permission."

I didn't play the game when Stealer Ciults were a thing, so I don't really have a list to know what was in them. I also have ZERO experience with IG/AM.

Here's the kind of things I'm contemplating:

Using Nid Flyers to "Count as" IG flyers.
Conscript units as "Brood Brothers."
Other infantry units as Brood Brothers with Hybrid models mixed in for Sgt's.
Primaris Psyker as a Magi.
Units of hybrids to count as... the psyker units... I forget what they're called now.
Converted Tauroxen (LOL) and Chimera to represent "Limosines."
I need something to use as a Patriarch. Nork Deddog? Anything better/tougher?
Maybe some genestealers to count as Bullgryns or Ogryns (I can rebase on larger bases).
Conversions to represent priests (maybe a priest with a Hybrid arm?).
Of course, I can always field vehicles and make them look like they're in bad shape, as if they were recycled and/or stolen.

Anyone have any ideas? Any input/help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Eric

Been looking at the same kind of thing myself.
Commissar Yarrick rules for my Patriarch.
Standard Infantry Squads with Brood Brothers as squad members and Hybrids as Sgts
Vets with Hybrids as squad members and purestrain models as Sgts
Got some old Hybrid cavalry models for Rough Riders, and maybe use a Zoat with a stealer torso as the sgt.
Primaris psykers as Magi
Prob won't worry about the Wyrdvanes or conscripts.
Genestealer purestrains as Ogryn might work, their combat style is different but they are both hth units.
Vehicles, just paint them purple and slap some stealer icons on them

Hadn't considered a Taurox as a limo but it would work quite well as that.

... and with using a Taurox, NOBODY is going to accuse you of cheese tactics. LOL

I did some Googling after posting this thread. I found some great links for Stealer Cults. One of them mentioned that the old codex was printed in the Citadel Journal, issues 40 & 41. I rememberd that I had some I never could sell. So, I checked.
Sure enough, 40 & 41 were in the group.

Now, all I've got to do is check out the codex and see if I think it can be a reasonable army.

Considering that Stealer Cults are considered to be what draws the attention of Nids to an area, does anyone think it would be too far of a stretch to use Nid flyers to "Count As" Vendettas or something? Just using the Vendetta rules with the Nid models (modeled appropriately)?

Eric

Another thought could be to kitbash Ogrny with Genestealers to make some THEMED Ogryn/Bullgryn?
