I got some Gaunt's Ghosts and used them as a tempestus command squad, other than the banner all the models had the correct weapons along with rules, points and performed better than i expected,

But the question is dakka that on the whole would you allow me to use them? I say that because GG have no rules and that the TCS rules fit the models well i would run it but whats your view?

They don't have the heavy Tempestus armor, I use my GG as camo vets. I've seen far worse proxies in games, but I'm not crazy about the idea of using self-proclaimed camo light infantry as a proxy for Scions with carapace armor and hot shot lasguns.

As stated, they don't have the same equipment, so you'd have a WYSIWYG issue.

Having said that, I'd have no problem playing against you so long as you made it absolutely clear every game what the models were intended to be.

The fabric from which their uniforms are made is a special weave that grants the same protection as the heavier and bulkier armor used by others.................

At least, that's what I say when someone asks me about my old beret stormtrooper models.

Yeah, i use the only beret troopers too, so the fabric thing could float, Guant himself can join as a commisar etc. I guess its more of a store issue than player issue but if i was allowed in the London HQ i should in most places. I'm not even a fan of proxies, just seemed like a good idea considering i always used stormies and i don't want to shell out on a command box.

I don't even consider it to be a proxy. Just because they have released a newer model of the 'stormtroopers' aka tempestus, does not invalidate older versions of the same unit.
