Edit: We will be using 7th edition for the tournament on Saturday, May 31st. This tournament will be good for all of us to be used as a learning experience. Please Email me to let me know you are coming. We need to make sure we bring enough tables to accommodate.

Some clarifications/changes for the tournament:

-1750 points total

-2.5 hour rounds

-Stronghold, Formations, Dataslates, Supplemental Codex are allowed

-NO Forgeworld or Escalation

In terms of FOC:

-No Unbound Armies

-Battle forged Armies must follow 1 FOC with 1 Primary Detachment (supplemental codex does not count as a separate detachment)

-One ally maximum (includes Inquisition, Imp. Knights etc.)

Went well, I had written up a really detailed report, then I lost it.

Very Diverse field, IG + SM flyer formation won, Eldar 2 and 3. GK 4, Crons 5.

I played Nids, GK, Crons. Not very many duplicate lists.

Psychic phase IME is very unreliable compared to last edition and as such seems to need no fixing to me at this juncture.

There were very few rules issues. Most were easily found in the rulebook and were simply due to the fact that everyone was new to the edition. As Breng mentioned there was a wide variety there. About half tried to get around 15-19 psychic dice each turn and many did well, but not all. The winner had 0 psykers and 5th place was Necrons. Im still interested in seeing how invisibility works on a deathstar unit but other than that, the psychic phase seemed very balanced.
