I did not play much in 6th. I am stoked to get back in to 7th. That said the few test games I have played my friend fielded two or three knight titans.

I have GK, IG, and SM out of those armies what is the internet's opinion on the most cost effective way to McMurder some Imp Knights?

Not sure on GK/IG, but I believe the most common method for SM is Melta Sternguard in DP. Drop in on side without shield and melt it to slag.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

There is a bit of a difference between imperial titans. An imperial knight is considerably easier to hit with short range weapons than a warhound is as the imperial knight will want to close on most opponents where the warhound does not.

Assuming an imperial knight is the primary concern and thus focus. One of the key things about what is "good" against an imperial knight is that you need to be able to hit 2 different facings to negate the shield with at least 1 of the shooting attacks. It also helps if you can target multiple knights with a single unit thus focusing the ion shields into one direction with less of you pts.

Keep in mind that an imperial knight is 350+ pts. It is not a job that a single one to two hundred point unit should accomplish without serious risk and usually will require a combination approach.

The good to great options for each codex with these in mind. I listed them in no particular order and likely missed a few;
GK
+Vindicare Assassin with void shields or AV14 building w/void shield; the vindicare is the single best anti tank shot in the game. His only real issue is his fragility. If you give him a void shield or bunker with shield this is negated and he becomes a great fixed anti tank or character 36" bubble.
+Stormraven w/ Multi Melta (usually fired using PotMS)
+Dreadknight charge if you get the imperial knight down to 3 HP
+Vortex of Doom if you have it and happen to be in range.
+Daemon hammers + hammer hand
+small henchmen units with melta bombs charging form stormravens
+Orbital Strike Relay. If you get reroll of the dice you will almost surely hit the knight due to the large base despite the scatter.
+Psycannons if ou get tank hunters on them (possible with various allies)

IG
+Blob squad with tank hunters order and lascannons
+scions with meltaguns
+Vanquisher cannon leman russ
+Pask Punisher w/ MM and LC
+Manticore
+meltagun vets in chimera
+CCS with meltaguns droping from a vendetta; a good use of a non warlord unit, don't do it with a warlord unit
+devil dog
+medusa especially with bastion breacher shells
+deathstrike missile; I wouldn't count on it but you can always include them in the blast
+vendettas make a good last HP or two stripping

SM
+Dev Cents or devastators with imperial fists chapter tactics
+drop pod sternguard combi melta vets
+meltagun bikes with melta bomb and combi melta sarge
+MM attack bikes
+MM/LC stormraven
+Legion of the damned w/ MM, melta, and combi melta
+melta bombs scattered throughout sarges (making every single unit be a threat can win you games)
+orbital strike, even more so if you have tank hunter on it
+salamanders chapter, pretty much the entire chapter...
+assault centurions; not a great unit but they do well in CC with anything with an AV. Still too expensive even here as they will loose members to kill the knight.
+terminators with chain fists; again not a great pts trade but something to keep in mind

If your willing to play dark angels you could also veterans squad combi melta meteor of doom a knight with 10 melta shots in 1 go, which would be pretty brutal but would work.

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

I have a friend who runs knights. I find that Pask in a punisher running with 2 plasmacutioners tends to do the trick quite nicely.

I run GKs. I smash Titans. StormRaven 10 Purifiers w/ Hammers. Move up the Raven as far as I can then move 6' next turn get out and assault.

That is 30 str 10 Hammer attacks + the Raven firing MM and Las Cannon. If You have Coteaz or a Psyker with them they reroll all misses. I haven't had anything survive that yet.

I even put a Dread in the Ravens claws w/ a MM and flamer in the power fist hand. So the Dread can flame Troops or MM a Vehicle and assault with its str 10 Fist.

You can even put in a DK to tele up with the raven. they always see the DK as the major threat and shoot it 1st.

Imperial knights are not too tough individually. Any heavy weapons good enough to bring down an AV12/13 vehicle will do the same to a knight, particularly if they are mobile and can threaten several facings at once.

3 knights is just a tough prospect as that's 18 HP of armour on the board. Load up on anti tank weapons and stick to cover, it will greatly reduce your casualties from their shooting.

Am I right in thinking knights have little to no anti-air?

if so (I believe they have a blast weapon & a heavy stubber) then go for fliers. 3 stormtalons and 3 stormravens would most likely ruin the day of any knight. that's 3 TL multimeltas, 12 missiles, 6 TL assault cannons, and other stuff I forget.

or use the maelstrom of war, bring multiple fast small units and rack up all the objectives and win without even firing a shot.

For anti air a pure knight list would just have the heavy stubbers on them; one for errant and two for paladin. So they'll likely have allies to fill in this gap. I don't think their shield works on vector strikes as well.

Your thread implied that someone was running Imperator Titans against you, I'd rename it to "Most efficient way to kill Imp Knights".

Against knights I'd avoid CC with anything you can't afford to lose because the Knight can and will beat just about any elite model you've listed. Before, you could rely on Quicksilver with a Dreadknight to punch it down before it swings with a bit of luck but no more.

That being said, you can have a fair deal more DKs than he can have knights per point spent.

For your other armies, I'd recommend Vendettas for your IG, and Meltacide or Imp Fist Lascannon Devs/Dev cents for your space marines.

Knights are FAR from titans man.

Heck, I would not even count them as requiring any special means. any old anti-tank techniques seems to do the trick, it just takes a bit more shooting.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.
