Hello, I was thinking of designing a character of a successor chapter to the dark angels. I'm more into modeling dioramas and custom characters than actual army building. I came up with a sketch of an interrogator chaplain at work and figured it'd make a pretty badass model. Being at work, I can't upload the sketch from my phone so that will come later (hopefully this afternoon). I already have a little fluff that helped me with the initial design that will be mentioned.
Quick description: its an interrogator chaplain named Zadikus in power armor. His backpack has the 'smokestacks' ala seraphicus. The right shoulder pad is adorned with a purified and blessed bloodletter skull. It was a gift to him from the Grey Knights for saving one of their brother cpts. and still has the fractures from the blow Zadikus delivered to the beast.
Wargear:
Rhand- Custom Crozius Arcanum chained to gauntlet; 1 side is a short scythe blade, the other (back) is a thunder hammer/mace.
Lhand- a spiked flail chained to gauntlet; it releases incense and it is said the spikes are superheated by the burning hatred towards the Fallen.
Lhand- arm-mounted stormbolter

any thoughts on a chapter name and colors?

I like the idea but..
Sorry to be a fluff bunny killer but I doubt that the grey knights would gift a Deamon skull as it would dematerialise into the warp. That and I believe that the only chapter to know of the grey knights without having to undergo a mind wipe are the space wolves. With the whole unforgiving issue I'd expect the da to stay away from any kind of inquisition forces.

Ah right on. I dont really know much of the DAs. As for the daemon head/GK thing, that totally had slipped my mind. I remember reading that back when I was building a GK army. It just looked badass on paper I suppose lol.
what would you say about changing the daemon skull to a 'nid skull, and replacing the GKs with deathwatch(or would that still be too close to the inquisition?), or ultramarine tyranic war vets? Thanks for your response.

Where x is a word for vengeance or justice. To the DA they are one in the same.

What policy/doctrine do the descendants use?

Try to get a hold of the Deathwatch RPG and the "Rites of Battle" supplement, they have tables with ideas.

I'm thinking they will follow the idea of hunting down the fallen the closest, hence the interrogator chaplain inspired character.

Personally, I would go with the lion theme, since it seems to be done the least. As far as color scheme, I really like metallic colors since they are easy and quick to paint, but with good-looking results. Maybe gold armor with green trim?
