Posted By Da Boss on 04/24/2007 7:33 AM Yeah, or one of the guys with lightning claws was going for a high five and missed. Dangerous business, in the Emperors Space Matines. I wonder do the sculptors and painters ever ger bored of constantly working on various marine models? I know I probably would. Maybe its some bizaree rite of passage that all trainee sculptors must endure. Penitent self harm and power armoured marines 5 days a week for the first 3 months...

Don't worry. I'm sure that as soon as people stop buying so many marines, GW will stop makin' 'em.

I love Marine.
The more misanthopic shaft grippers there are the better, I always say.
Well, I just started saying it, but I have thought it a lot.

To be fair, the old veteran models are a bit dated. I think they've been redone to bring the marine vets up to the standards set by last year's exemplary Chaos Possessed. Nevertheless I think these models represent resources that could have been better spent. For example, instead of new veterans they could have released a new space marine chapter called the Junk Monsters. They would be from a feral world and would ride in junk cars like the ones in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. They would like Loud Guns and Going Fast. Also they would get really pumped up and scream WAAAAR!!!! (just like Tom Araya in that one Slayer song right before the sweet guitar solo part). This would give them superpowers. But GW went ahead and released these instead. Stupid GW!!! I hate you!!!!!!!

I was just listening to Seasons in the Abyss when I read that. I peed my pants twice and head-butted my monitor.
I'm making a pre-Imperium Techno Barbarian army now, and I have you to thank for it, Doob. You're a king among men.
