I don't think those that voted B (myself included) are disputing the rules are unclear. Rather, they just don't seem to make sense why Heavy Weapons can fire with no problem, yet there is an issue firing Rapid Fire weapons.

All in all, if my opponent wants to fire at full range with his Rapid Fire weapons with his Terminators, I'll have no qualms with it.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I find persuasive (the old and invalid) Q+A ver3 (the old errata) White dwarf questions (281 ish) The beta draft FAQ 4.2 (that you can find kept in strange non GW places safe)+p90 of chapter approved 2004.
Where they said it was a typo that they (the old bunch) didn't count as stationary, they didn't move on any of the other fixes that had slowly totted up in all its reprints,(or the ones they knew but never added to editors pile) Dedicated landraiders etc.
Until the (\a) new faq comes out saying they really meant to do it. I'm going to be very easy going on opponents doing it, but wouldn't rely on opponent necessarily allowing me to do it.
(I like the new format)

A is correct but i voted B as this is the most logical way(logic and GW?) it used to be in the old rules but was removed for some reason ce la vie.

its not enough to win others must fail!!

B - Terminators are supposed to be mobile fire platforms. Why bother making Heavies move and fire and leave the rest of the squad with weapons rendered useless?

To all those claiming that Chaos gets Termis on the cheap, if armed with power fists like the loyalists, they cost exactly the same.

GW rule sets do not exist on logic. Thus I went with A. Its how I would play it. But I don't have any termies at all, so its pretty moot. But I'd like to think the other guy across the table plays with the rules, not just what ever he wants to do.
