I still haven't heard from Lormax. Anyone else hear anything? Has anybody gotten back the models they sent him yet?

I trust him and all, but its been a month so far with no word.

Nope. I was told he was supposed to be back last wednesday and would start getting things straightened out. I haven't heard from him yet, and don't know if others have, so I guess we'll see.

I have not heard anything either which is a bit depressing.

Things look grim but based on another user contacting him I have not completely my report with the police.

I understand people running into hard times and having to deal with family but this much time without an email or a phone call in this day and age is a bit crazy.

Hi guys, I reached Lormax on the phone again (weekends around 8-9pm usually work fairly well) and got my monthly update. Anyways, he got home two days ago and will start back on our models. Otherwise, if you want your models back ASAP, you can ask him to ship them to you as is. PM me for his email if you don't have it already.

Any details you can share? Like where he was all that time?

He was in Las Vegas. He took 2 months off of work to attend to his father who was struggling from heart disease and demensia.

So, any word now?

I was thinking of sending some stuff his way, but...

He hadn't started on my figures, so I was going to wait till the 29th before calling him back. Right now I am just holding my breath like the rest, hoping against hope that all things end on a good note. He said his computer was on the fritz so he wouldn't be able to go online.

Hey there all, back at home finally in Los Angeles. All the people that have projects with me have been replied to and given a full update on what happened, then PMed again on an individual basis as well to give personal updates on their projects. If I missed you, please PM me immediately.

To be fair to all, those involved and those thinking about using me to get something done, a quick explanation of what happened. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's some years ago. This past year things have gotten really bad, to the point that he was moved into assisted living back in March. He had his 3rd heart attack a few months ago this year and now doctors are refusing to give him the operation he needs, fearing he may not survive the procedure. I took the leave of absence from work to help with everything out there (Vegas). I stayed with my mother out there, with no internet. In my hurry to leave I didn't think to bring the commissions with me.

For those thinking about using me to magnetize, I'm not here to steal anyones models, so please use me with confidence. With that said, I won't be taking anything else on until January, unless your project is small and simple (Something like a single dreadnought, etc). Holidays are here and I still have family obligations that'll be taking up my time through most of December.

Please continue to PM me with any requests for quotes, or to bounce some ideas off me about what you have planned or what you'd like to do.

I am bumping this up to continue the saga. Anyone received their items back yet? I called a couple of times and sent a couple of emails and haven't heard anything yet.

Of course things are a little more urgent now that the nid dex is about to come out but I find it somewhat ironic that I started this project before we even knew there was going to be a new codex!

I sent him a PM/E-mail a while ago (Dec. 15th, to be exact!) asking for a quote on some work.

No news about my models either, I haven't heard anything from Lormax since november.

I do the same thing on ebay (dont worry i'm not going to say username!) and rake in quite a bit, selling most things for about £5 over what I buy them for (which is games workshop rrpp value normally!).

It makes some good side money which I normally buy myself the warhammer with. And it fits into hobby!

I talked to Lormax two weeks ago. Suposedly he had sold his house and just moved into a new location. Our stuff was packed away. I asked him to send pictures of work in progress and gave him my email. But, nothing yet. So sad.

Yes, at this point it's pretty ridiculous. I sent him my models back in August, so 5 months ago. I wish I could just tell Lormax to send them back, regardless of the condition they're currently in, but it seems that he is unreachable.

i beleve that the lorax is a good honest person and he is just going over a few speed bumps... let time tell the tale.....hahaha jk. umm hes good at what he does.

I am glad that you find it funny that I have been waiting for my models, which I mailed in August. As it stands, I am out $170.

I have been very patient. I understand that alot has happened to him, but this is just going too far. He should just mail our models back.

It's the internet.. there will always be some idiot that tries to swoop in and say ha-ha (simpson's voice) but this is just dumb.

I completely understand hard times - 100% understand - but when it becomes blatantly apparent that you can't meet your obligation then it is time to send the items back to the people who sent them. That is the classy thing to do.
