that's the problem and the solution,
all 40K special charectors are immortal(at least until the next codex comes out) so you can kill him one googolpex diffirent ways and then get up the next morning and do it all over again.

I think a flowchart would break posting guidelines and I know a diagram would.
As for dominating Lucius, if it's possible to kill him then surely it's possible to render him unconscious or immobile long enough to put him in stasis. Once there he cannot call on his daemonic mates, use his sonic shriek or anything else. 40k is full of examples of C'Tan, Necrontyr, Daemons being put on ice in one form or another. Granted they get freed from time to time but the technology is there.

Despite what happens on the table top, Lucius could never fall to a Necron, or even your basic Grey knight. He is just too skilled.
What about 100 necrons, or 10-20 grey knights?

An intelligent skilled fighter will never allow themselves to get swamped.
These people fight on battlefield scale fights, its not gang thumping in a back alley where you walk alone. Those 100 Necrons or 10-20 GKs will also have to deal with Lucius's 10-20 Chosen as well. Here while his subordanants are taking care of the masses of the nameless, he is free to seek out the champion of the other side and have a one on one duel. Something like that.
Again, tabletop actions and situations don't actually happen when your dealing with epic name individuals (regardless of 40K faction). You will never see Magnus Calgar or Ragnar Blackmane getting taken down by swarms of gaunts or ork boys either.

So if/when the Necron lord or GKGM, who are both equally emotionless, take him out?

I think a showdown between Brother Captain Stern and Lucius is in order. Stern has come close to killing Abbadon so he coulod do it.

Truth be told. Lucius is most likely aware of these weaknesses and prudently avoids such situations. but the what ifs are fun to talk about.

Sturm came close? I shudder at the one-sidedness of 40k fluff sometimes, I don't think anyone living now short of a primarch or something like that could go even with Abaddon.
Anyway, back on topic...Lucius could be killed by any number of things, but one would think he would be smart enough to avoid such things

Simple fact is you would not be able to (fluff wise ) kill luciious with a cannon or lascannon or anything inanimate like that. He could only be killed by another person/alien/ etc

Here is the lucius flowchart, professionally done. Eldar ships have a spirit stone, which is a collection of souls that run them. If lucius is blown up by an eldar ship, does he take over all their souls? Becoming the ship? Would you suddenly have a ship beating nid vessesls at hand to hand? And what if Lucius is killed by something stronger, like say a wraithlord. Would the soul become his? And he get his old armor, or would he become a wraithlord. I cant imagine a lucius wraithlord being stopped by anything short of a gargantuan creature/walker or a ctan in hand to hand.
