That makes the most sense--do you recall where this was mentioned?

Unfortunately, I don't which is why I can't say it's definite. I remember reading something along those lines in the Ultramarines codex, but it could be the Eagle Warriors or another similarly named chapter instead.

I've been digging around for Rainbow Warriors fluff, since last year when the C:SM came out. I like to follow Phillip Sibbering's Aztec theme. I think he's also the one who said they were an ultramarines succesor chapter. (I think he just made that up though, and its not GW canon.)

My army is still, in the early stages though. Just two tactical squads complete. One day I will have a "Full spectrum" company. (Which will have 6 tac squads, and 1 dev squad each with a different coulour on their shoulder. plus some vets and termis to make it up to 100 Rainbow warriors!)

I like the idea that the inquisition has hunted them. But that's all cool now (according to Phillip S, Papa smurf didn't like to see a successor chapter get beats so he called up the =I= and got it all smoothed over )

I don't get all the gay jokes though. seem a bit lame to me. I agree with the poster who pointed out that it may just happen when you've got 1000 hormone-filled beefed up guys, who train together all day long, miles from home, in space, HURR!

Most chapters are Ultramarine successors.

I'd say pretty much ever chapter that isn't known to come from a different legion or have traits specific to one legion is an Ultramarine successor. It's just sort of the default.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

As I've stated, Tim Gunn was their Primarch but he's moved on to better things. Their special character is Brother Captain Roy G. Biv.
But I kid. As I've mentioned elsewhere, their current (?) chapter symbol, if painted yellow, is the same as the Death Strike Chapter. Maybe there is some connection?
