So far I have three marines that I need to build for the Swap. One is done being built, another has the parts set out, and the third is still in the air.
Ill update later today once I figure out the others!

Oh, and Ninjas as assault squads

Hehehe I totally should xD Maybe my Command Squad will have a certain set of turtle names. Like Michelangelo and Raphael perhaps?

Oho! And there are 10 ninja assault marines in these picture. Can you find them?

I don't see any ninj-

I cannot see any ninjas, however I can see the devastation they have left.

1. The four ork trukk tyres in the background are clearly all that is left after ninja assault marine sabotage.
2. The base sans-marine clearly had one before, but he has since been destroyed by ninja assault marines and they have removed the evidence.
3. The ninja assault marines have done a sloppy job, and have carelessly left a dismembered pair of legs from a victim lying about
4. Guy on the far left just out of focus has had his backpack stolen.
5. He was then decapitated...
6. The backpack on the far right is not decapitated guy's, it is all that remains of yet another victim
7. Guy in 3rd+4th picture has had his backpack stolen.
8. While turning round to see what had happened when he felt something brush against him, they also took his bolter!
9. Guy in 1st+2nd picture has had his backpack stolen.
10. Guy in 1st+2nd picture may have actually caught a fleeting glimpse of them as the sneaked away, which is why he is looking slightly to the right-hand middle-distance with some concentration.

There, this that is evidence of all 10!



btw you should name your chapter master A'tuin!

Im glad I could get ya resparked on your marines! Its one of the many positive side effectives Ive seen. Not that your painting needed work from the looks of it......

So ya Im back guys ^^

Laptop is back in the shop, so Im using my parents older desktop. Its slower, but i suppose it works.

So with that, I have pics of finished marines for WM and IA!

First for WM:



I attempted an idea I had for the veteran helmets. Something of a painted turtle-esque design. Still kicking it around, but WM is getting the prototype!

Funny thing about this guy... I was painting the eyes, and got one of the best red ones I had ever painted.
Pleased with myself, i set it on my desk, when I suddenly notice that its not quite as vivid a contrast as the other ones were, when it suddenly hit me.

The Chrysemys have GREEN EYES!


Ill still keep them as is. Heh... perhaps in fluff he had to swap out lenses cause of the snow on IA's planet xD

Agreed, liking the freehand chapter symbol, looks quite pacific island-spiritual-painting-esque which I think suits a chapter based on turtles!

yeah, i love my marine! The red eye thing is cool too. I think your symbol is great as well. After we had chatted about your fluff and what you wanted them to be like I have a really good idea on how your marine will behave. I think you'll approve.
