I like Thrash, NWOBHM/traditional metal, 80s speed metal and even some hair metal.

I think I get turned off by cookie monster vocals though, which can ruin bands for me; I just don't find it paletable.

Also, isn't metal the new alternative? Because in the 80s, alternative was the alternative to metal, but now alternative is mainstream metal is the alternative to alternative so metal is the new alternative?

At least that's what Satchel said.

Lol, but being in Steel Panther aside, wouldn't that statement basically be true?

What's sold now as 'alternative' is as mainstream as Glam Metal was in it's heyday (if not more so).

Conversely, anyone into Hair Metal today isn't doing it for the money, but for the music/entertainment of the listeners; and is the alternative to these 'alternative' mainstream rock acts.

So this means Hair Metal is less sold out than Indie/Alternative.

Mind = Blown

Ok but i don't trust someone who thinks giving girls herpies so that the next time he goes to that area that they are then immune. And then thinks thats a public service.

I walked out of the pit at the end of the show with a fat lip, 2 bruised ribs, a cut above my right eyebrow about the 6cm long and a loose tooth. BEST SHOW EVER!

Decent death. Of the two, I like Nergion better. The vox are buried though, hard to hear them.

Live shows to get excited about: I've got Nailbomb next month, then Carcass in May and Amorphis in September.

I'll help with the beer, but it would be rude to burn the church. It's only ten years since it was burned last time.

Edit: Holy Necro Batman! Eight years! Sorry for missing that...
