With all due respect to those who sugested Johnny Depp take on the role of The Joker, I would have to strongly disagree,Depp,IMO,is excactly the sort of "my isn't he cutting edge"type of actor that should be avoided at all cost.
Also,IIRC there was some talk of Depp perhaps playing the part of The Riddler (though no conformations),a role I personaly belive would be handled much better by the likes of Steve Buscemi or Mathew Lilliard (as a dark "Zodiac killer" type Riddler,instead of a giggleing,cappering Frank Gorshin/Jim Carrey clone).
