Can you tell us how it was that the culprits were discovered? Was it by 4 teenagers and a dog in a green van?

Wow! This thread has gotten way out of control. I am one of the owners of the store. First of all, let me set the record straight about lots of cash being kept at the store. It isn't true. Some have stated 10's of thousands of dollars? Really? At a game store? There was however a very large dollar amount of product stolen. The person who stole from us was caught and confessed to everthing today, but unfortunately doesn't have all the merchandise. It's unfortunate, but some of it is probably going to be distrubutd right here on this forum. What he did is considered a felony. There were others involved. He took the merchandise to a person's house whom my husband and I considered to be a nice person. He's on Santa's naughty list now and no longer ever welcome in our store.

To answer the ongoing question of insurance? Yes, we have insurance. If you know anything about the insurance industry though, claims aren't resolved instantly. With Christmas being next week, it will be nearly impossible to re-stock all the merchandise that was stolen in time for holiday shopping. We do offer gift cards though and hope that people will consider giving them in place of product if the product is not in stock yet.

As to this being an "inside" job. The people involved have been customers at our store for at least 5 months now and from what one of the confessors said, they have been planning this robbery for about that long. They weazeled themselves on the "inside track" and betrayed people who considered them to be friends.

We are thankful and appreciative to those who have expressed their concern and regrets. I'm sure everything will sort itself out in time. The person who did this will be exposed in due time, as this is a very tight-knit community. Thank you again everyone for your support! Holiday Greetings to one and all. Merry Christmas!

I hope whoever did this burns in hell. Destroying someone's livelyhood during the holiday season? That puts them right there with child molesters and people who talk in the theater.
