Thanks so much for sending me the link; that dread with the clock is bloody mind blowing! I didn't even know there was a bit like that floating around out there in plastic. And holding the little doll is great. I came REALLY close to make a "Sisters of Pucca" army, only I couldn't get proper stickers or decals and didn't relish slicing out the tiny pictures from address books I found in C-town. As silly as such things look, I really think 40k benefits from having more of the non-coms, with less grimdark, for contrast. I love that picture of the terminator walking the little girl to school or whatnot just for that.

Keep posting your stuff in tidy, periodic buckets for me to see Your conversions are just too good to miss!

They dont look too Tomb King ish since they have zero Tomb King parts :'/ but hopefully i atleast got the colors right.
The weapons i wanted it to look Obsidian, why? cuz! they are a good practice for the NecroSphinx i will hopefully get soon >:'D

The 1st pic with the banner , is old one which no more pics of that.

Repainted into the other ones you see now :3
( they are basically white base coat + washed down black paint + dry brushing of white on edges ( i'll be honest , i didnt intend to dry brush the weapon , the dry brushing on the bone part was messy and
got ONTO the weapons rofl ) which i coated with very water wash of vallejo dark sea blue

They came out really nicely, and from the sounds of it, quite quickly! I heartily approve!

Wow, impressive army so far! The super gold sphynx is pretty darned good looking; are you using enamels for the gold?
The non-gold parts look really excellent as well, and I hope you add a good bit more. About the only thing I think I would try and do differently would be to add a little bit of weathering to the beasty to break up the shiney on the back half a bit. Maybe a wash or some sponge pocking or something just to make it look a little more old and a little less "Just off the show room floor!"
Then again, I don't like gold a lot in general, so it might just be my personal bias.

Also, what are you using for the sand? It looks really fine and nice, more to scale with sand at 28mm. I am looking for something better than 'Dirt from outside, dried out" for my own stuff.

Yeah, that Super Shiny Sphinx has some of the best looking gold I've seen in recent memory, keep up the amazing work! Waht are you using (color wise) for your desert bases? They're looking a lot better than a lot of other attempts (my own included) I have seen around the internets.

The base is made out of ripped up cork boards. I ripped them in an angle so they'll look like rocks, and the left overs i use them on smaller size bases ( yay recycle )
The sand is just fine sand bought from homedepot ( basically DIY home centers ) It costs $6 for 25 Kilograms, you'll never run out of them i think :3

The base color is actually mixed of too many different color because it kept on messing up, so i just keep adding new layers of color till it looked ok lol. But the order of the tested colors are, chardonite gray, denebstone , then it looked nothing like dessert so i added brown wash. then it still looked so weird so i drybrushed Iyanden darksun. then it looked so yellow so i dry brushed dhenebstone again on patches of the rock, and finished with diluted brown wash on the patches.

Painted over some more previously painted old skellies. the 2 units adds to 42 skellies now.

The spearmens im having tons of trouble with. Because they are also already painted ( by someone else ) and now im guessing it has atleast 4 coats of paint...
The details can barely be picked out now, and stripping them is out of the question. The old skeletons are very brittle, as they'll snap ANYWHERE with the lightest touch.
Not to mention the joints where the pieces are connected are poorly planned, breaking apart in warped pieces....

Even though its a toy i don't think its that bad compared to forge world

Certainly looks nice and detailed, it will probably blend in great.
