well it appears the images have been removed...there is a way to post images without putting them in the gallery. if you can do it that way the image doesn't have to be related to wargaming

Oh and my other Dreadnought and a LandSpeeder Storm busy Times....In my Codex (which i will release this month!) I have uber amounts of fluff. My Bear Claws love tactical rear guard actions and relentless line infantry assualts they excell at this. Therefore my attention has changed to creating a Stern Guard Squad, i found these on Saguinary Guard and think they are awesome. Standby for some serious John Woo totting Sternguard with attitude!


plus some serious Bear Pelts going on. They should look North American and kick ass.


Oh and I just found out who I am fighting at the Tourney, a Tyranid Player who has contacted me and told me to open a Casino as my Indians will get retired. Oh my Lord, he has sowed the Seed and I am going to reap a Whirlwind like Death's own Scythe. Annhilation it's the only way to be sure.

My next priority is Elite Troops, Terminators and Sternguard, a Command Squad and A Devastator Squad and possibly an assault squad? . I am about 60% complete on Sternguard and Command Squad, Devs are primed and sitting there. I haven't even bought my termies yet but i have lots of old ones. I am off to a Bring and Buy in the morning at my FLGS so i'll see what i can grab while i am there. My eyes are hurting so thats it for this weekend. Thanks for your continued support it keeps me motivated when I'm really tired!

My Armour and Heavy support is coming on:-



I have magnetised it so I can swap it out for a Razorback turret, (not yet glued together ) which should save me money and stop the powers of GW undivided getting their hands on too much of my hard earned cash.



I need to file this one down as i have filled all the wholes and gaps. I am going to magnetise this one so I can change it to a TORNADO easily and possibly a TYPHOON if i paint the Magnet Hard points.


My VENERABLE CLAW TERMIES, got a few bits from Deathwing in here to make it all come together. I've got more tactical marines to do and load of assault marines and final an Honour Guard and a Command Squad and a.......You get the picture.

I need to keep going on this now, still got a Cmd squad and stern guard squad. I just realised I have a DEV Squad already (Yup!) how well i painted up various TACTICAL MARINES with HW so i can swap out the HW in the TAC Squad. So now i have 4xMLs and a Sergeant combined with my combat squad Hey presto DEVS /

I think the brown looks awesome. Definitely not something you see every day, but it definitely works. The dullcoat is a nice effect too.

Very nice conversions, and the magnet idea is good, but arent you going to add some more stuff to those models so they feel less generic?

Pie_2054 you are completely correct they are far to generic at the moment. I want them to be more subtle references (e.g. Not giant totem poles or wigwams etc) however i have a cunning plan. I have been working with Greenstuff and am perfecting how to make feathers (DEATHWING Style) for all my vehicles etc to replace purity seals.
I want the models subtle, not over the top but the vehicles need a little more work yet, WIP i suppose!

A feather in your cap Mwinciboo?

Nice work. I have a Native American themed Space Marine Chapter too.

You can bitz order empire or high elf feathers to use for your marines, a lot easier than green-stuffing the feathers and they look better as they are more finely detailed and textured on both sides (I started green-stuffing them at first, too).

Free handing the bear claw design is pretty easy too, just start with geometric shapes and add details until it has the shape you're looking for.

Bloody hell, I'm not tired but my fingers have Glue fatigue and i cannot use them without ruining models as my fingers are covered and i succeeding in ruining my home furniture.

Okay, so taking some of your advice guys I have painted on the design onto my Vinid. I'm going to give it another coat to look stronger and then i'm going to paint it in quickshade soft shade. My termies are nearly done (well i bought another set yesterday so i have Thunder hammer squad and a Lightning claw squad, i was going to magnetise them and swap them but the truth is cannot be arsed and its almost as expensive so i might as well buy another squad cheap off ebay!)

Lookin' good, but maybe you should paint the feathers in bright, vibrant colors. That way they make a contrast to the brown of your units.

My Rapid Reaction strike force is done,



I have Assault Termies (Thunder Hammer & Lightning Claws) a sternguard squad, another scout squad and a LSS and RB to finish. Should all be done by Wednesday.

Then i have a Bike Squad, dev squad and Chapter Honour Guard to finish.

Then i'll look at Preds and Landraiders!

Then i'll look at my spare AOBR SM to make up another 2 x tactical squads. I want a full 100 Man strike force!

My current thoughts are to Convert him over to be my TELION equivalent? With a Scout legs and a Bolter with scope on his back, and a SM Sniper Rifle in his hand. I think the Tomahawk will stay!!

His name will be Running Bear and he is my Count's As Telion. Here is his Fluff! Chief Dancing Hawk is the Master of the 10th. If your not sure what Count Coup is look it up, its cool as FOOK!

BRAVES
The ancient ritual of Counting coup is the winning of prestige in battle by the initiates or Braves. An initiate or Brave cannot be taken in as a full Warrior/ Astartes until he has completed his training and committed Count Coup under the eyes of the Chief Dancing Hawk the master of recruits.
The most prestigious acts included touching an enemy warrior, with the hand then escaping unharmed. Counting coup could also involve stealing from the enemy. Risk of injury or death was required to count coup. Coups are recorded by notches in the coup stick, or by feathers in the headdress of a warrior who was rewarded with them for an act of bravery. It is widely known that Bear Claw Braves commit near suicidal feats of bravery to be inducted as a full Warriors Astartes.
Chief Dancing Hawk was renowned for his ability to Count Coup on his enemies and famously stalked a Lictor as a Brave and Counted Coup on the Creature. Chief Silvertip was the Master of the Recruits during this period and was impressed by this Young Recruit and awarded him the right to hold 5 White Eagle Feathers to denote his supreme achievement.
Dancing Hawk formed a strong bond with Veteran Sergeant Telion of the Ultramarines. Telion sought out the young Scout who had bested a Lictor in Stalking on the field of battle. Telion was impressed with the young Marines skills and was seconded to the Chapter to train their braves in advanced ballistic techniques. Dancing Hawk was subsequently inducted into a Tactical Squad as full marine. Telion however had seen a second Brave with great Potential, Running Bear.

RUNNING BEAR – Senior Sergeant 10th Company
His Skills were legendary and he attempted to out shine Chief Dancing Hawk Count Coup on a Tyranid Carnifex, but the Creature had adapted to his environment. His attempt failed as the Tyranid leapt on him and cleaved his Arm off. Only the intervention of Sergeant Telion with a Sniper Rifle killed the Tyranid saving Running Bear.
Dancing Hawk, impressed at the Tenacity and gall of the Young Marine decided he would be more useful to remain a Scout for many Years. Running Bear has learned much from his Ultramarine tutor and now is considered his equal, after promotion to full marine Running Bear was discovered to be ill suited for Line Infantry work, he pined constantly to move forward under stealth and found Power Armour to be restrictive and noisy. Eventually at the behest of the Chief of the 3rd Company, Running Bear was sent back as a Squad Leader to the 10th Company. His Abilities have continued to grow and he is now the equal of Telion upon the field of battle.
He is easily distinguished on the field of battle by his Sniper rilfe and bionic left Arm.

He almost looks like a fighting Uruk-hai, but sounds sweet nonetheless. Looking forward to the conversion.

My Bear Claws codex will be released when i finish this project, however i will put out little teasers now and again!

Conquest miniatures produce it, its available in the UK at Northstar Military Figures.

Now i've finished 60% of my Army, i'm starting to plan ahead and start on my interesting conversions. My big ones are this one, my chapter master Redux and Veteran Sergeant "Mountain Bear" who is a massive 1.5 x size Terminator with a hollowed out bear model on his back like a giant cloak.

Looking at your rapid reaction strike force I notice there is a distinct lack of 'Thunder-bear' cavalry, lol. Any plans for a fast attack element coming soon.

At $16 dollars a bear, i cannot afford it right now. I would do it for fun, but because i'm using SM CODEX rather then the SW Codex i'm a bit limited. I have toyed with that idea though.!

LENNYSMASH IS THE MAN!!!!!! OMG, THAT IS AMAZING ! Thunder Bear Cavalry just became a reality for me, 5 of these bad boys for christmas please Santa.

Anyone got any advice how I convert a Space Marine to ride this and look right, I think the SM Bike Legs maybe a good start but I might to seperate them and use green stuff. Any thoughts anyone?
