While I'm a fan of many of the newer Ork sculpts over the old ones, OLD SILLY LOOKING FANTASY-ESQUE WARBIKERS < AWESOME CURRENT MAD MAX/STABBY WARBIKERS for example. I adore the old Ork Stormboy figs. The new ones are alright, but the old ones in their matching WWII German style uniforms just have this unique quality to them. I found a set in a game store/disheveled hole in Kelowna once. I'd spit on a Commissar for some more.
Found some Squats in a bitz box the other day....

Hah! As much as I appreciate first dibs there's no way I can justify that kind of expenditure on three small models (no matter how much I love them.)
@reds8n Those old Dragon Orge are quality. Going to have a scamper on ebay now... don't even have a use for them!

I've definitely got a screamer killer in the loft. If I remember rightly there's also some 2nd ed gargoyles, zoanthrope and lictor, I'm surprised the 'fex goes for decent money.
They are going for ~£60 quid on ebay I think, when I got into 40K I was about 10 so I didn't really understand the game, and didn't buy anything really as I was a bit skint and the nearest LGS was 1hr bus journey. and there was loads of stuff I liked but could never get! now I'm old enough to understand properly and desire these things they are ridiculously expensive and long OOP!

The Lictor is nice but the Screamer-killer was an ugly piece IMO. I saw one for £5 in a wargames show a few years back and gave it a pass, had the Lictor instead for £3.

Exactly. Ripperjacks and Milliasaurs are very cool, $5/blister cool, but not *that* cool.

5th edition metal Bretonnians. All of them. I was so excited that plastics were coming out with the 6th edition book... only to be horribly disappointed by the dwarves with door shields that we got.
The metal men-at-arms are some of the best infantry that GW has made, and the metal mounted characters are simply perfect. That the whole line was made by the Perry brothers probably goes quite a ways to explain its appeal. So bring it all back, and at 1996 prices.

The metal seekers of slaanesh, mostly because while I have 10, I'd love some more, but they sell for £10 each on eBay! :( Would love it if GW would release them to the Classics range for those of us not enamoured with the new "back to basics" look.

Quoted for truth! I knew I was forgetting something, and you just reminded me. I'll add my vote for the 5th edition Bretonnian metal men-at-arms. The 5th edition metal ones are ten times better than the crappy plastic ones they have now. I love the halberdiers and spearmen especially. I'm lucky enough to have a few of the halberdiers (thanks Yakface! ), but I would really love to get a few of the spearmen someday. The metal men-at-arms are just so versatile. I mean, you can use them as Bretonnian men-at-arms, as well as basically any other "basic fantasy human infantry" role that you might need, for Warhammer, Mordheim, or whatever. Some of them could even blend in in a historical army, which a lot of GW human infantry can't really pull off.
