You know what? I love it. Every bit of the Emperor-damned thing. I think it's wonderful. Absolute model gold. It's an awesome piece. You wanna know why? Here, I'll tell you:

It's just as ridiculous as everything else in the BA Codex. Now, along with hot-dropped Land Raiders being flown in by Thunderhawks, crazy super monstrous creature-marines, and flying, gold, daemon-nipple, mary-sue god-angels, we have a big flying red brick.

I mean, if you were the Blood Angels, why wouldn't you build your flying support craft to resemble a hideous cross-breed between a Radio-Flyer red wagon and a big red brick that's been tossed through space by the pansy "reincarnation" of your Primarch?

10/10.

I was really looking forward to the Stormraven - our own mini-Thunderhawk. But this is just... gah. Pathetic effort.

Yeah, I agree.

Why don't they just make a plastic thunderhawk already? I could care less about the inside of the hull, just make us one already. It's not THAT big.

While I won't say anything about the model itself, since it has all been already said, I'm more worried about the balance on the thing (assuming it comes with a flying base).

Hmm... hadn't thought of that way. Well, with that perspective, you're 100% correct. It does fit with the Blood Angel Codex. It's like the final exclamation mark that finishes off the ludicrous excercise in stupid excess that was the Blood Angel Codex. The only thing that could top it off would be if the "Bloodstrike Missiles" actually had 'Blood' written on the side of them.

ick.

I especially don't like the awful turret on it. How could they have done such a nice job with the valkyrie and then turned around and made something that looks like a bull dog mated with a scrap heap?

Well, it's like that old army saying - if the troops aren't complaining, then something's not right!

Ouze on GW: "I'd like to be like, hey baby, you're a freak but you just got too much crazy going on, and I don't hook up with bunny boilers. But then Necrons are going to come out, and I'm going to be like damn girl, and then next thing you know, it's angry sex time again.

It's complicated."

I don't like the turret..reminds me of eldar tanks...other than that it looks slighty "odd" but that is most likely the angle, but I rather like the general look of it.
I would get one for my Blood Angels Successor Chapter if I had not already started working on one myself...
Though with Grey Knights coming out, I might get a few or 3...you can't have enough marine armies I guess.

I love stormravens! Until a lascannon blasts them out of the sky T_T

Seriously though, it is really fun to load a DC Dred and DC into a SR, go 24 inches first turn, and watch your opponent squirm as they try to shoot it down with everything they have

I like the model simply because now I don't have to do a conversion. With a front end like that though.....that thing should be able to tank shock lol.

it looks unfinished ! it starts off thick and quickly tampers off to the wings . they should have used forge world for help . the valkyrie is a really great design , but this vehicle lacks . well see when we get it in our hands to draw more judgement .

I think the results speak for themselves- nearly 1/4 are for the burning.

BTW it does look like a Valkyrie and a land raider had a kid. But instead of the best of both, it got the worst. It has a bulky fat body with a couple of teeny wings.

I one part i really dont like is that manned turret on top... it would of been better under the front... or unmanned, it just looks like you wouldent be able to fire at anything

And im really hoping the model has thrusters at the front (cant really see with the marines in the way), that would explain the front heavy look and would make sense (as well as really giving the Stormraven the manuverablity its said to have), If it doesnt im just going to add some XP

It's a ground attack aircraft with the twin-linked weaponry on top of the fuselage.

Everyone who keeps saying "the turret would have been better under the front", apparently isn't noticing the fact that the whole y'know...ramp for troops?

Yeah. It flips down. Current placement allows that turret to still fire in support of troops while it's landed to drop off its cargo.
