In 4th edition. I once managed to have two Chimeras glanced and Wrecked at the same time due to a lucky Flamer hitting them on the side. Ouch!

You know those games where all you have to do is make a few saving throws and you'll be fine? Yea... had a few of those.

Yet the worst luck was a game CSM vs imp guard. The guy litterally had every template hit dead on and I was failing +2 saves by the truckloads, I never even killed a model.

Same game, guardsmen vs plague marines, I fumbled all my attack rolls/wound rolls/he makes his few armor saves and proceeds to watch as I fail most of my armor and FNP, then a powerfist his sarge had finished off the rest.

I mean 7 plague marines vs 10 guardsmen and I get the charge, what can go wrong :(

Double 6 SAG scattered onto ghaz.

Was rolling armor saves for my assault termies. Needed 2+s out of 8 rolls I managed to roll 5 ones killing all of my termies. The worst part is it was the shots came from Ork boyz pistols.

played in a game, my IG aginst his Blood Angels. I swear i could hardly hit, then wounding was another issue. if i did wound, it seemed he could get his saves. the only thing i took out that game (at 2000 pts), was a furioso dread, a drop pod, and two blood angels. it just got humurous after a while.

oh yeah, i retired those dice away. kept a few for leadership dice, those have worked well.

That is luck so bad it borders on the obscene. I don't even want to know the odds of that actually happening. You'd need 6, 6, 6; 1, 1, 2; or 1, 1, 1 followed by another 1 or a 2. For each power. In a row.

16 Daemonettes charge a unit of 10 Necron Warriors.......1 hit. no wounds. Loose combat by 4. UGH

At my local GW in a group game with 4 people each side, I had a 10 man unit of chaos with heavy bolter and plasma gun in a building about by turn 3 I was the only one left and 10 skyclaws and 10 greyhunter surrounded me and I suicided and assualted and died WIN for me.

I can't tell you how many chimeras I've had immobilized due to liquifiers.

with ld 9 marines saturda I failed 3 ldrship tests and 2 pinning tests in 1 turn ... playing against ... dare I say ... Necrons ...

still got a minor ... theyre so bad

having a random dreadnought sweeping advance over half of my army while focused dark lance fire pinged off of it until like turn 4

4 consecutive 1's meant that my T6 Daemon Prince with Daemon Armor and Feel No Pain died to 2 guardsman while having 2 wounds left (In 4th edition where a Khorne Prince could talke all of this).

Only 1 happened to me; 3000 points per side Apoc Game with the wife; My Guard vs her orks. Game took 1 hour to play, I lost. I was fielding a banesword, that got taken out by her Warboss and 5 PK Nobz in 1 turn, every other unit got killed by the Stompa's Supper gatling cannon(she rolled dice for a half hour chewing through unit after unit; every unit fled the field) my 4 vehicles each took either a Boom-gun round to the face(exploding my Armored sentinel), a super-rocket(capping my Chimera, and wrecking the other Sentinel) or the last round of Gattler fire followed by a deth kannon direct hit(exploding my Bassilisk).

in another 3000 point apoc game it was my Guard vs my friends BA: he kept everything in strategic reserve except a vindicator and Baal pred(w/Flamestorm); the Pred took a lascannon to the side armor and was wrecked, while the Vindi had a Bassilisk round dropped on its roof. He then brings in a Libby Dread and Sang guard unit in a storm raven; Flat outs the Storm raven right in front of my Stormsword, and gloats that it is likely to die from Blood-missile/lance and MM death next turn(forgetting or not realizing I am about to hit him with a S10 AP1 no-cover save ordnance piece); I proceed to Blast him with my Stormsword cannon, exploding his raven, killing a few of the Sang guard from that blast, then dropping 2 Plasma Cannon shots directly on the now sitting in the open Sang guard removing the lot, Dante then falls to a pair of Blob-carried lascannons, and the Dread dies to a bassie round. Every Scatter die rolled was a dead hit. He conceded the game right there, which I accepted because he had just around 1000 points left against my entire force(I had not lost a single model). We have since decided against my fielding any super-heavies until he gets one(he scratch built a warhound so we may have another go soon).

Guardsmen killing all five of My Terminators in cc

Well, a few tourneys ago I had some foot CSMs. I wound up on a nearly empty board against a tank heavy Guard army. Both units of deep strikers I had wound up getting destroyed by mishaps. The rest of the army lasted until Turn 3.

My opponent felt kind of bad about the whole thing too. I couldn't really argue though since I'd played him a few times before and seen his poor luck with dice and the like. He's a nice player and I just figured he deserved the win.

Many years ago my opponent deepstrikes his 5 terminators into the midst of my guard lines, his various weapons wreak havoc on my command squad who alone had the power weapons to defeat them. In my turn i had one last hope, the lone survivor of a special weapons squad. He strode forward and threw his Demo charge. The template hits perfectly, enveloping all six terminators in it's Transluscent plastic embrace. It wounds all 6, the attached lord didn't have daemonic rune (an eldritch upgrade that stopped ID). I almost felt sorry for him when he picked up the dice for Crux Terminatus saves, that was until he rolled six fives.

I was playing tyranids against my IG friend. I ambushed his squad of 20 basic guardsmen with 3 lictors. All 3 of my lictors were beaten to death without inflicting more than 2-4 kills on the guardsmen. I got massacred and he got a consolodation move into cover. In the same game my Zoanthrope failed his psychic test... Twice. Then my ygmarls were destroyed before they could wake up. Then my hive tyrant got beaten up by a Commisar with a Power Fist after the hive guard got rapid fire'd/battle cannoned to death. That was a sad, sad day.

This past game my friend had aRazorback transport deployed on the opposite side as my Guard Lascannon team. I shoot it, penetrate, and wreck it. They bail out, lose 2 of the 5 man squad because of a dangerous terrain check, they fail their morale check, then run right off the board.

It was his bad luck, not mine. ^^

Of the 10 armor saves for my 6 terminators I rolled 8 1's. That was pretty epic.

I'm horrible with my plasma cannons. They seem to roll a 1 for 'Gets Hot' way more than 1 in 6 times. Not sure why I keep taking them other than the gambler's creed: "Surely I'm due this time!"

okay, so that's a 1 in 54 chance. ouch.

here's good luck turned bad, on my friend's part-
galting cannon. takes 45min. to run out of ammo. hit 1/2 and wound most. 26 armour saves (mostly on my two company caoomand squads). 2 men died, 6 wounds spread out over 10 IC's.

My Blood Angel meltas seriously never kill anything. Grots laugh in their faces.

On the other hand, my Mek's SAG is crazy lucky. Playing a friends Sisters of Battle, he gives a squad of 12 sisters invulnerable saves, expecting me to shoot my Shokk at it. I instead focus it on the squad next to the invulnerable squad, which is much smaller. Roll to scatter... get 12"... I'm sweating because I am expecting it to deviate into the middle of nowhere. Instead it scatters onto the squad my friend made Invulnerable... and I proceed to get double 6s, removing the entire squad, all 12 of them, in one shot.

Just thought of one,

My dwarf army had destroyed a skaven army besides a huge unit of 10 rat ogres attepting to flank me (i knew i had won, it was watchtower and he couldn`t of reached it) My backline of 3 cannons lined up on this unit and all three could see the flank, i assumed i would kill a large majority of them. I rolled for where the cannonball would land, it exploded, the second, exploded, the third, exploded. Even though all three had the rune of forging (reroll artillery dice)

Yep, it doesnt wound you so Saves of any type are ignored You're just GONE. Think GoI style.

Or a vortex weapon whose rules literally say you can't logic your way into getting yourself ANY kind of save.

Making a 3 Assault marines attacking a dreadnought before realising that I would need to roll a 7 on a dice that went up to 6... their sacrifice was unnecessary and kind of stupid. meh, didn't like 'em that much anyway
