Today I made a dagwood for breakfast.

Two toasted slices of thick, sweet, home-baked soda bread with mayo encompassing four strips of turkey bacon, a sliced plum tomato, two leaves of Boston lettuce, several ounces of turkey breast, and a couple strips of sweet red bell pepper. It was about four inches tall. ;D

I usually have dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. I guess that means I've been working graveyard shift far to long.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

mmmm, brinner.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I'm genuinely curious.

Usually Yorkshire Tea:

It's not posh, but I like it.

Thats jolly good stuff.

I keep a supply of Green Tea, Jasmine Tea, Earl Grey and Darjeeling, however as flavoured teas they aren't really for casual use. Sometimes I like a good clear tea with a nautral tea flavour. Yorkshire does the job but I buy this:

Tetley is a good brand, yet for some reason you can get it in Poundland and other Poundsaver and other cheap shops. Which is odd because the only teas of comperable price are supermarket white label teas that taste like bags of sawdust.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Irish Breakfast tea is the name of a blend. I would imagine while the tea leaves do come from the sub continent yes. But the blend of tea comes from Ireland.

On weekdays before school i would do a sandwich, ANY type of sandwich. Except brocolli, i have that for lunch or dinner. I have a cup of any juice in my fridge.

On weekends its probably some delivery service, such as macdonalds, if not it would be noodles, half boiled eggs, porridge or some dim sum.

I reckon what i eat is very different from what you guys in europe or the US eat.

What I mean is, a large amount of food is imported from the UK, or so I'm led to believe.

I get mine from Wegmans, not the cheapest tea over here (you can pick up tetley tea bags from walmart) but Yorkshire Tea is my favourite also (and they do a nice tea cake as well, haven't been able to source that here yet).

I am currently enjoying a shredded wheat cereal with cinnamon in it, you can't get decent sausages or bacon in the United States for blood or money so I gave up on the dream of a full English and will just have to enjoy one on my trips back to blighty.

I have to say this makes for pretty depressing reading. Are you all really such health freaks/food snobs? Now i am an excellent chef but my cooking is cost/utility ratio first flavour second, some of these breakfast menus seem to have no semblance of economy to them....

You can get them. You just might have to look a little harder.

For bacon look for thick cut, or canadian bacon, depending on exactly what you're looking for. You might need to visit an actual butcher shop depending on the quality of your local supermarket/s. Pretty much every supermarket has imported/ethnic foods sections, but exactly what countries/cultures are represented and what variety of items you can get depends on the quality and size of the store. Whole Foods or organic foods stores also often have better and a wider variety of meats available, though they tend to be a bit pricier. English-style sausages are available here too. Again, might need to visit a butcher or a specialty shop.

Many cities here also have European markets which import delicacies and specialty items. My city (Manchester, NH) is only ~100k people and I can think of at least three European markets where I can get specialty cheeses, meats, candy, etc. And we've also got asian markets, middle-eastern markets, and more central/south American markets than I can count. Your new bride might not know off the top of her head where to easily find what you want, but it's almost certainly available if you look.
