Today i recieved my 25th annioversary crimson fist space marines, i was NOt at all happy with the casting quality on these and have sent a snotty E mail to GW.
I cdant believe they allow quality like this out of the door. it will be interesting to see their reaction as it now seems they say "resin is meant to have defects" which is complete bs. if they try this line on you DO NOT accept it.
If you pay for a new item, you expect new item quality!

anyway, Rant over!

As of now all my carcharodons are on hold, I'm concentrating on the Minotaurs.
I reprimed the librarian and have now started on painting him as a Minotaur.
I'm a bit stumped as to where to put some kind of chapter heraldry without it looking forced? the pads are already full of "stuff" so they are a no no!

Anyway let me know what you think so far!

Heres the pics!

I really like the librarian. As for chapter iconography, I think you could get away without doing it, especially if you display him with the other minotaurs.

Also, fantastic work on the drop pod

The lightning effect turned out really well, though the blue may need to appear elsewhere on the libby to balance out the rest of the model. Maybe the eyes?

It's a shame more people don't leave comments around here, and I feel your pain. Don't let it discourage you, though. Everything looks great

cheers mate, well....

MINOTAURS PREDATOR SPEED PAINT JOB FINISHED!
Hi guys, i cant believe how fast i banged this sucker out, i only picked the model up yesterday morning, did a couple of hours priming it and basecoating in the evening then finished it off tonight.
Then to be fair its only a colour test! i didnt put a lot of time/effort in.

Now, im sorry but im not enjoying these minotaurs anymore, the colour scheme is a pain in the arse, and it doesnt "pop" very well.
My carcharodons however, although they are grey, seem to pop like mad. so.....

I think i'm moving back to the sharks!

Oh well..

heres a pic. more pictures on my blog as per usual at: http://marsekayspainting.blogspot.com/2012/03/minotaurs-predator-speed-paint-job.html

The pred looks pretty good, especially concerning the speed.

It was the space sharks that brought me here, so more of them is always welcome.

Ok guys, i'm a little bored with both minotaurs and space sharks, reasons are:
1: minotaurs, bored of the scheme, far too many people now doing them and i wasnt overly happy with the FW character sculpts i waited ages for!
2: Carcharodons, again everybody is doing them and grey is rather boring to paint,

so here we go Rainbow warriors! (to be known as Spectrum warriors...)

i knocked out a razorback to test the sheme and i quite like it! its like a cross between crimson fist and ultramarine blue.

Heres the pics

Ah nice Rainbow Warriors, I've not seen anyone do those in a loooong time.

Very nice, looking forward to seeing some troops painted up.

Bank holiday project ftw!

Hi all, so im fed up of my hodge podge army from about a million different chapters.
As we have a long weekend i thought i would take the chance to repaint 90% of my speed painted minis into raven guard.

The list is thus:
6 assault termies
5 tactical termies
15 tactical marines
vulkan hestan proxy (gabriel seth)
predator
techmarine
land raider achilles
3 razorbacks.
RT era dreadnought

heres where i started

And after day 1, heres where i am, black base coat and silver detailing started.

Next up is a black wash,
and doing whites then the final details and basing!
easy peasy!

Lots of good stuff here, I love the speedpainting and the gameboard (the roads really make me want to push toy cars around it). I also like your weathering, especially on the Carcharodon drop pod.

I expect you would get more traffic if you updated the title of the thread to include what you are working on, it's really easy to miss threads in this forum.
