Priorities and all that.
@Ascalam: Sure, they have FW, and can one-shot models - but a lot of those models DO have protection against it. EW or invulnerable saves (which still work against FW - until you fail it). As for daemons - who plays them anyway, except WHFB players?
It's all marines, marines, marines, here (with the odd DE).
It's not a force weapon. If it was a last ditch attack with a force weapon, taken as you die, i wouldn't mind so much. It would be marginally cheesy, but ok by me in the name of heroic fluff. You would still have to roll to wound/penetrate and then make a psychic test to instakill if you managed to score an unsaved wound. Invulnerable saves would work against it, and it would have no effect on vehicles. Eternal Warrior would negate it.
This is NOT what heroic sacrifice does.
When the person with Heroic Sacrifice dies in base to base with a model (regardless of what kind of model) in either player's assault phase they roll a psychc test on a
ld of 10. If this comes off (and it usually will) then then roll to hit you with a rather high
WS, and will likely hit. If they miss they are removed as a casualty (no lost wounds- removed from play). If they hit they take the model of their choice in base to base with them- removed from play. Titans, chaos gods, vehicles: any model in the game. No saves are allowed, no return from death abilities work. They are just gone.
THIS isn't cheesy? I need a new dictionary
