GW will tattoo a barcode onto your forehead which will be scanned with every purchase not just taking cash directly from your bank but a piece of your soul as well. (minus the tattoo this already happens)

Make random and illogical business decisions causing the share price to collapse. Knee jerk reaction of the owners to sell their holdings short of their true value allowing GW to buy back thier busisness at a knock down price.....
Nah, thats almost sensible.

Share price is climbing and has been since they announced dividends....that's what shareholders like (me included). Now if the dividends stop and it's attributable to these business decisions.....that's another story but it won't happen until the next 1/2 year report, if then.

Can they really afford to pay dividends? After all, doesn't Kirby own a fifth of them, all he's doing is paying himself. If anything that should set off alarms not give stock holders confidence.

Yep. I'm getting dividends soon; it was announced last month and I should see mine any day now. Granted it's only 20p (pence) per share but hey, free money's always good and the bump in stock price lately is an added bonus. I'll probably sell next week and buy again after the stock slumps in the fall (my guess).

Is that £483K before the dividend payout that someone mentioned on another thread bagged him well over £300K? Strewth, and this company has been laying people off.

Strewth, and this company has been laying people off.
He's making 393,000pounds before stock and other compensation; the total is 438k.
Wells makes 280k.
Rountree makes 163k
Yeah, overpaid; especially when you consider the President of Toyota only makes about 1million (USD)/year and runs a company that's easily 300% larger.

My predictions:
#1. All of the current plastic production will switch over to Finecast resin.
#2. GW will sell official GW dust masks once it's revealed that the new Finecast resin does indeed cause cancer. They won't change the formula because, "that would compromise the artistry of the models."
#3. GW will continue to protect their IP by publishing 5 'official' pictures of each model in different stages of painting. Any other pictures violate the IP, and will result in legal action threatened.
#4. Cease & Desist letters get handed out like candy at Easter/Halloween.

GW announce a new boxed set.
GW are set to release new versions of the basic troop types:
In each boxed set there are enough components to make one soldier and equipment to kit them out any way you choose.
For example the new Space Marine box set will come with:
2 head variants.
Torso.
2 leg variants.
Set of arms.
Scope.
2 Combat Knife variants.
Holstered pistol
Auspex.
Grenades.
Purity seals, parchments, scrolls & Terminator Honours.
and plastic foliage and rocks to texture its base.
1 x round plastic base.
At £6.97 per set this new product will offer exceptional value for money.
At the same time as this:
5-10 Marines - 10pts each

In addition to the current "point of sale" model for their miniatures, GW will move to a subscription model for their rules and game. You will no longer be allowed to use their figures in games and events other than your local GW hobby store, including "friendly games" that may or may not take place in your private residence.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned the obvious strategy:
All models will be sold in unmarked packaging with no way to tell what is in the package. All packages will cost the same as the highest priced item available and there will be no refunds or returns allowed. Furthermore all figures will be one to a package.

They kind of do this in the US. US online stores aren't allowed to sell GW stuff via a shopping cart. Many get around this by going through a distributor or other methods.

agnosto, call me cynical if you want, but did GW's shares not rocket when they released the LoTR range? Well the next installment is coming along isn't it?
Now the last couple of years, GW hasn't been that free with its money preferring to use it to clear some of the debt and make itself cash rich to withstand any drop in retail sales and allow it to survive.
Create a couple of lean years for itself through trade embargoes and above inflation price rises, watch their shares drop, purchase on the cheap and if/when they get the Hobbit licence their value rockets again.
Yeah I know cynical, but don't be so quick to sell those shares.
Cheers

They fire the inventor of the game and hire IP lawyers instead (oops, they just did ).
They sue Egypt for selling merchandise inspired by the Tomb King artwork.
They make the next 40k starter box a limited release of only 50 boxes, 5000$ each.
For the 6th edition 40k, standard games are 3000 points minimum. Baneblades can be used in squads of three.
All licences are withdrawn, as it attracts too much attention to GW products.
They move their headquarters to North Korea: No more leaks!
