Lucius vs Tyhpus, Typhus wins, the destroyer plague takes no pleasure and Typhus is all but immune to physical attacks.
If Typhus is all but immune to physical attacks, then how can Kharn beat him?

Also, you all are aware that the Chaos Gods are not static in power relative to eachother, right? Seriously, where are people getting these "ranks", shall we say, for the Chaos God? For that matter, when is Slaanesh stated to be the weakest Chaos God, and Khorne the most powerful? The 4e Chaos Daemons codex outright states that for periods of time a single Chaos God may become superior and dominate the other three, with them combining their power to lessen said superior God, so another may eventually take his place. Sure, Khorne has beaten Slaanesh's ass at least once, but as I said, their powers are not static. At any given time, Slaanesh could be the strongest.

I don't think he's immune he just doesn't feel it any more. If he loses a limb he still loses a limb, he just doesn't care, but a kill shot is a kill shot still.

Anyone else think Kharn is bananas enough to rip his own head off the moment he (if possible) starts turning into Lucius?

The thing about this fight would come to how much power the Chaos god focuses on his champion (besides Ahriman who refuses [or perhaps thinks he refuses] Tzeentch's power), and we all know their power shifts every now and then.

Me? I see Kharn killing everyone, but perhaps not surviving himself (everybody dies, but Khorne wins).

Waaagh!

This topic only peaked my interest with the name dropping that then caused me to think about what a 5th edition Chaos codex would do for these old characters.

Based upon what we have seen with the named characters in the SW, BA, and GK codexes, I can't wait to see what happens with Chaos.

Lucius wins via freaky face armor power.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Khorne

"He [Khorne] is the mightiest and oldest of the four... "

And in the entry for the Blue Scribes, it states that it was Tzeentch who was the most powerful before Khorne.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

I meant immune to pain, slicing him with a fancy sword wont do much.
Khorne is the strongest God currently. Slannesh never rises to become the most powerful, but is feared secretly by the other three for the power he could hold. Slannesh gave each a gift that they lusted over. To Khorne, he gave a chalice IIRC, which Khorne constantly smashes and then re-builds.

Do you have a source?

I'm not saying you're lying, I just read the entire Chaos Marines and Daemons codices (4e) pretty recently, and did not see anything like that.

Is it an older codex, or some other piece of background material?

For what? That Slannesh never rises to become the most powerful? IIRC It was in the Daemons of Chaos Codex or Liber Chaotica.

Both that and Khorne being the most powerful at the moment.

Will check Liber Chaotica, after I download it.

No he is not. What if Kharn kills Lucius? Do you think Khorne's just going to let Slaanesh kill his champion? Slaanesh doesn't just get to dictate the rules regardless of anybody else.

I could ask you the same thing... do you think any of the other Gods would allow Kharn to kill their favoured?

Aside from Ahriman, who is attempting to deny Tzeentch's "gift" on his legion and "cure" them...

So, in a fight without God interference, Lucius wins against all.

Actually Magnus almost killed Ahriman but Tzeench stopped him, so Ahriman is Tzeench's favorite pawn.

I tried being normal but it's boring so now I'm back to being insane

Nurgle brought back Commander Ignatius Grulgor twice.
And Grulgor and Nurgle was just recently aquainted.
Imagin how he would bring back Typhus, who sold his soul long before the HH, even before joining the sm.

I enjoyed the thread a lot, and just wanted to post this.

Eye of Terra.

I personally think if Kharne killed Lucius he would definitely feel satisfaction. Lucius is a worthy opponent and a follower of Khornes' arch enemy. Tzeench would approve as it weakens Khorne and adds to Entropy. Nurgle might begin to feel the pinch and have something to say, however.
