Lt Coldfire: I do not have a set colour I use. I switch up ranges fairly often, though in general I mix everything I use.

I usually only use:

1 type of red
1 type of blue
1 type of yellow
1 type of white
1 type of black
1 type of metal
1 type of wash

And mix everything from there

I have used a wide range of different yellows, from almost every company.

Usually somehow I keep coming back to the Citadel colours, and their current Yellow is simply awesome. Possibly the best yellow I have encountered in the last 16 years in regards to coverage, hue etc

The models are awesome, but the terrain is absolutely on the next level. Simply brilliant! Can you tell us the source for the action-figure used in the Fortress of Redemption? The chained up one? I really like your conversion of the pornstar figs into legitimate statuary. In all seriousness, that army tray terrain piece is probably the best single terrain piece I have ever seen. It's complex enough to allow many different uses for the minis engaged on it, while at the same time uncluttered enough that it doesn't prevent movement across the majority of its surface. And, of course, it's visually stunning!

Also...can you tell me where you found those multi-part flowers? I've been looking for individual flowers at this scale for a while now, but yours are awesome, and I've yet to find them.

The Figure. It was a gift, originally there would be a candle sitting on the top. It's by Veronese Miniatures, and it was a gift a girlfriend of mine got while we were on a fair. I have not ever found this specific miniature online, sadly. I would have wanted to buy another one for a different project :(

Very nice stuff, color scheme on these vehicles breaks up the form without obliterating it, great work.

Did a brief foray into trying to track down those pornstar action figures, and my respect for your work increases. Apparently, they were a limited run, and the cheapest one I could find came in at 46 bucks. (Some went as high as 200.) Amazing commitment! (Unfortunately, now I have to look elsewhere to find cheap female statuary which is body-proportionate)

Well, truth be told: I got most of the miniatures on the cheap, some here some there. One of my friends had alot of them in his basement, and I only had to pay 10bucks per Figure ^^
Then I found 3 for 70€ on the Spiel in Essen, and had to grab em

But yes, they are expensive if you want to buy them throuh proper channels - sadly.

My (first) Wraithknight is finished

Original Plan was: Finish this sucker by last Weekend to have it ready for this Weekends Tournament (and hopefully: Best Painted ) Turns out: Being really fething sick can ruin any painters day. So I lost Saturday through Wednesday in painting time and had to make up for it. Tonight. An All-Nighter, no rest, no break, no nothing. He had to be done tonight, or bust. Results below:

First up: A Full View (with one little thing missing... you'll see it later though).

I basically did a Tabard (from Paper), remodeled the left Armjoint (so I could stretch it out).

I also added in bitz/blended them into the model with green stuff:
Visor in the helmet, Kneepads and Groinplate are from the High Elves Flying Chariot. melon-fething epic thing. Base stuff (As you'll see) is also from the Flying Chariot, a Dark Elves Statue of Khaine and... ah well. I did lots of gak.

Useless Number of the Day: 238. The Number of Gemstones I had to paint for this donkey-cave. Worth it tho.

Wow! Beautiful work. I especially like the base. The flowers are amazing. The falcon is a really nice idea, and I love the mistress. A y chance of getting a better picture of her? What model did you use for her? Or did you sculpt her?

Interesting! It's beautifully painted (although a personal peeve, I hate it when all the gems are painted as gems! Looks better with some as the armour colour imo)

Wow. Just wow. That is some of the best freehand I've seen. It really adds a nice and crisp personal touch to the models. The models are brightened up a lot by it and the art gives them a lot of depth. Very nice work.
